In no time, she became Heroine No. 1 of Bollywood and her journey has been an inspiring one, so much so that even her sister, Kareena Kapoor followed her footsteps. Over the years, Karisma and Kareena created a niche for themselves, becoming prominent Bollywood stars.
Randhir Kapoor and Babita were blessed with their first child, Karisma Kapoor on June 25, 1974, and six years later, on September 21, 1980, Kareena Kapoor was born to them. Karisma has been an avid social media user and ever since Kareena had made her Instagram debut, she has been acing her social media game. Karisma and Kareena leave no chance to express their love and admiration for close ones, especially on special occasions.
Karisma Kapoor turned 47 on June 25, 2021, and to make her day even more special, her sister, Kareena Kapoor Khan posted a video montage of their special moments. Revealing why her 'Lolo is the bestest', Kareena captioned the video as "Happy Birthday to the bravest, strongest, and the most precious woman I know... my sister, my best friend, my second mother and the centre of our family... My lolo. #MyLoloIsTheBestest #HappyBirthdayLolo."
Karisma Kapoor posted pictures from her midnight birthday celebrations with the caption, "Making my years count, instead of counting the years #aboutlastnight #familyandfriends #onlylove." Looking at the pictures, it is hard to believe that the actress is 47 years old!
Last year, to mark Karisma Kapoor's 46th birthday, Kareena Kapoor Khan had posted a video comprising of Lolo's personal and professional journey. In a throwback interview with the Indian Express, Karisma Kapoor was asked how similar or different she is from her mother, Babita and sister, Kareena Kapoor Khan as a parent. She had retorted, "I think I am more of a disciplinarian (laughs). Both of us have grown with a very strong value system ingrained in us and I think we are doing the same with our children. Our mother was very particular about our upbringing, and 100 percent qualities got passed on. As for the differences, Kareena is more easy going, I am a little conservative when it comes to parenting."
Happy birthday, Karisma!
