Bollywood director, writer, host, and a man of many talents, Karan Johar is setting an incredible example for all the fathers out there by being a single daddy for his two loving kids, Yash and Roohi Johar. The director had made the headlines in the year 2017 when he had announced the arrival of his two little cotton balls through surrogacy. And just like other star kids, Yash and Roohi have marked their place as gen-next kids. Since then, we are witnessing adorable pictures and cute videos of Karan’s kids on his Instagram handle and we have to admit, that it just makes our day a little bit better. Recently, the director shared another cute video of his kids during their self-quarantine on his Instagram handle and it’s hilarious and simply unmissable.
On April 1, 2020, Karan Johar took to his Instagram handle and posted an adorable video with his kids, Yash and Roohi, as the little ones take a tour of their daddy’s closet. In the video, we can see Karan welcoming his walk-in closet and asking them, whether they like his collection or not? On which, his little angle, Roohi replied ‘No’ with a cute smile. After which, the doting father asked the same question to his son, Yash and received a similar reply from him. However, Yash didn’t stop there and advised his father to wear simpler clothes. Hearing this, the director had a loud laugh and signed off with it. Along with the video, Karan wrote a few lines that can be read as “In the closet for now!!! Well, Karan’s reaction tells us that he’s a doting father and always allows his kids to express themselves without even a small glitch. The director is spending his self-quarantine with his kids and mother, Hiroo Johar. On March 29, 2020, Karan Johar had taken to his Instagram handle and had posted a video in which, we can see his mother and kids sulking at each other! Karan had posted the video with a long caption, that could be read as, "Hiroo and Roohi #toodles #motherdaughter." The video showed Yash sulking with Karan's mother, as she didn't allow him to touch her hair. Karan also joyfully pulls her leg asking what she's doing looking like a 16-year-old wearing a shiny hairband. He then goes on to ask Roohi is she likes her dad's hair, to which she replied, "No!" To which Karan replies, "Exactly my thoughts!" Have a look.
On August 3, 2019, Karan's kids, Yash and Roohi had turned 3 and on the occasion, he had written a heartfelt note for his kids on his Instagram handle, that could be read as "I am a single parent in social status...but in actuality am not....my mother so beautifully and emotionally co-parents our babies with me...I could never have taken such a big decision without her solid support...the twins turn 3 today and our feeling of being blessed continues with renewed vigour with every passing year...I thank the universe for completing us with Roohi and Yash."
After the birth of Yash and Roohi, Karan had opened up about his journey of Bollywood. In an interview with the Hindustan Times, Karan had said about the same and had revealed, “My life has changed since Roohi and Yash arrived. At 44, this is my biggest blockbuster. I still haven’t realised the enormity of what’s happened. They’re only two months old. And all they do is eat, sleep, burp, wail and poop. Kabhi Khushi, Kabhi Gham! While I stare at them in wonder.
