Kangana Ranaut, who once called Vikrant Massey a 'cockroach' for no apparent reason or animosity, has been heaping praises of his latest released film, 12th Fail, directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra. However, things took an ugly turn when Kangana Ranaut shared a hateful message for journalist, Anupama Chopra after the director revealed that his wife had stated no one would come to watch his film.
For the unversed, Vidhu Vinod Chopra is one of the most celebrated directors. On the other hand, his wife, Anupama Chopra, is one of the famous film critic and journalist. Recently, during an event to celebrate the success of 12th Fail, the director revealed his wife, Anupama bluntly critised his film and stated that nobody would come to watch his film in the cinema. He said:
"Nobody will go to see Vinod! Teri aur Vikrant ki film (It is your and Vikrant's film)!’ She told me I don’t know, I’m not connected with movies (anymore). On top of this, these (trade) agencies were writing that it’ll (12th Fail will) open at Rs. 2 lakhs and do a lifetime business of Rs. 30 lakhs. Everyone scared me."

Reacting to this, Kangana took to her social media handle, X, and called out Anupama. She expressed her direct hate and called the journalist a 'disgrace'. Kangana also stated that Anupama is jealous and insecure of younger and intelligent women, and jealous of her own husband. Her note can be read as:
"Vidhu sir’s wife @anupamachopra is a disgrace in the name of film journalist, she is not only xenophobic but also deeply jealous and insecure of younger and intelligent women, no wonder she is jealous of her own husband, on whose name and wealth she built her website and other small businesses, got her bollywood wife card to flaunt in filmi parties and ganged up with gossip gangs of Bollywood against genuine talent and good films."
Let us also inform you that during the success party, Anupama replied to her husband, Vidhu Vinod Chopra's revelation and stated that she was wrong, and he was right. She said, "I'm saying, in public, that I was wrong and you are right!" Not only this, Anupama even posted a public note and confessed she did advise her husband, Vidhu, to put the film on a streaming platform.
Kangana, who loves sharing her opinion on her IG handle, had heaped praises on Vikrant for his performance in the film. She called Vikrant's performance in the film 'beyond amazing'. For the unversed, Vidhu Vinod Chopra's 12th Fail is a story about UPSC aspirant Manoj Kumar Sharma, who overcame poverty to become an IPS officer. Kangana had written:
"What a terrific film. Coming from Hindi medium myself belonging to a rural village and being a general caste student for entry tests without reservations in my school years, I was weeping throughout the film, ufff never cried so much in a flight, my co-passengers were stealing concerned glances at me, I am embarrassed. Vidhu sir has won my heart all over again, Vikrant Massey is beyond amazing!! In his coming years he might just fill the void Irfan Khan saab left behind...salutations to your talent dear one"
When Yami Gautam tied the knot, she announced the same on her IG handle. And the entire industry showered love on her, and Vikrant also called her look as 'pure and pious'. However, out of nowhere, Kangana posted a mean comment for Vikrant and had written:
"Kahan se nikla ye cockroach..lao meri chappal."
