It was on February 24, 1999, when Kajol got married to her ‘first crush’, Ajay Devgn and has been happily living her marital bliss to the fullest. Blessed with two kids- Nysa Devgn and Yug Devgn, Kajol’s family is a combination of ‘awesome foursome’! A very jovial personality by nature, a lot is not known about the actress’ personal life and she decided to fill all voids yesterday (November 26, 2019), by answering some burning questions in an Instagram ‘Ask Me Anything’ session.
Out of the zillion questions that Kajol answered yesterday, there was a burning question that everybody wanted to know “Would you marry SRK if you didn’t meet Ajay?” To this, a super-witty Kajol replied, “Isn’t the man supposed to be proposing?” Kajol further went on to reveal her preference as an actor between hubby, Ajay and SRK. Kajol and Shah Rukh Khan have shared screen space in many films and most of them have become an exemplar of a cult Bollywood film. The actors were last seen in Rohit Shetty’s 2015 film, Diwale and was a huge box office success. On SRK’s 54th birthday this year, Kajol had taken to Instagram and had posted a picture of the duo from their last film and wished him. The same could be read as “Happy happy birthday to my sweet friend. To many more smiles like this! Have a wonderful day @iamsrk.”
Soon after the success of DDLJ, many filmmakers had wanted to see more of Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol. But as per reports, Ajay and Kajol were dating during that time and the former had allegedly asked his ladylove to keep some distance from SRK. A report in My Nation had quoted a source sharing with a leading daily, “People were talking less about Kajol's relationship with Ajay and more about her friendship with SRK.” The insider had further shared with the portal, “He allegedly couldn't handle the pressure of everyone talking about the chemistry his competitor shared with the women he was dating. Later, in yet another interview, Shah Rukh Khan was asked about the report. As per the My Nation report, SRK had then shared, “I wouldn't really know if Ajay has put any condition. If Kajol doesn't work with me because Ajay does not want her to, I will respect it.'' He had further added, “But I don't really think this has happened. It's quite strange. If Gauri was an actress, I wouldn't.”
In an interview with The Indian Express, Shah Rukh Khan had revealed that they didn’t share a good rapport from the very beginning. In fact, when Aamir Khan had asked him about Kajol, he had said that ‘she is very bad’! Here’s what he ha shared, “When I was working with her in Baazigar, Aamir (Khan) asked me about her as he wanted to work with her. I left him a message saying, ‘She is very bad, no focus, you will not be able to work with her’. And then I saw the rushes in the evening. I kept calling Aamir to clarify. I told him, ‘I don’t know what it is but she is magical on the screen.”
Kajol too, had shared her side of the story upon meeting Shah Rukh Khan for the first time. She stated, “I remember Shah Rukh and other actors had a huge hangover when they came on the sets and I was jabbering away in Marathi to his make-up guy. They were like ‘what is that voice. It is going to split open our heads’. He was very grumpy but I kept chatting and finally, he said, ‘Will you please shut up… chup ho jao’.
