Jubin Nautiyal had begun his singing journey at the age of 17, when he used to perform at live concerts and charity shows in his hometown, Dehradun. After years of hustle, he finally got his breakthrough with the film, Bajrangi Bhaijaan. However, Jubin's journey from rags to riches has not been a cakewalk. He kept practising, recording and learning to become one of the most versatile singers in the industry.
Recently, the singer is hitting the headlines for his alleged link-ups with a ‘wanted criminal’ and Khalistani member, Jai Singh. It all started when a poster of Jubin’s concert was out in the media. As the co-organiser of the concert, Jai Singh holds several criminal records over drug smuggling and video privacy charges, netizens have been trolling Jubin for being friends with a criminal.

With the allegations, ‘Arrest Jubin Nautiyal’ started trending on Twitter, and netizens started calling the singer anti-national. In a recent interview with India Today, Jubin reacted to the alleged claims and revealed that his show was already cancelled in August. He further added how his mother has fallen into depression because of people calling him an anti-national. In his words:
“I don’t know any of those guys. We cancelled the show in August. The contract was between my management and a promoter named Herijinder Singh. I don’t know how it got to this point. My mother is in depression.”
In the same conversation, the singer questioned how people could call him an anti-national. He shared that the news had been taken from a paid Twitter thread, and then it went on to spread in the media like wildfire. He said:
“I have nothing more to say. I’ve said it all. The news was picked up from a paid Twitter thread. No one bothered to ask me once. Anti-national? Me?”

Earlier, rumours were rife that Jubin would tie the knot with his secret actress-girlfriend, Nikita Dutta. In an old interview with the Bombay Times, he had opened up about the rumours and shared that he and Nikita would not like to justify anything about their relationship. He said:
"We would not like to had comment on this. I have known Nikita since she did a TV show Ek Duje Ke Vaaste. I sang a song in that show and then we got to know each other well. Nikita and I were just hanging out at a cafe in Juhu for some time. I would not like to comment on whether we are dating or not, because one thing leads to another and we don't want to become the subject of gossip."
