Yes, John Abraham lives in an Arabian Sea-facing duplex apartment in a residential complex in Bandra West. Rightfully, his penthouse is called, ‘Villa in the Sky’. Situated on the 7th and 8th floors, his house spans over 4,000-square-foot. The house has been designed by the leading real estate architects and John's brother and partners- Alan Abraham, Anca Florescu, and Anahita Shivdasani. These guys merged two older apartments and turned the whole area into one spacious and airy penthouse. John once said:
“A home will always speak about your character. So make sure that your home reflects who you are and what you are”.

John Abraham’s house offers scenic views of the Arabian Sea on all its sides. And in order to achieve this, the house boasts of floor-to-ceiling glass walls, wherever possible. In fact, even his master bedroom offers a spectacular view of the Arabian Sea. The entire penthouse has been built as per Vastu standards. The kitchen is situated in the south-east corner of the home, which happens to be the most suitable direction for a kitchen area. This doesn’t only make the house Vatsu-compliant but also ensures that it is bathed in natural light in the morning, giving a fresh feel to the house.
Mostly made from stainless steel, the kitchen is ultra-modern and boasts of a huge dining area. The dome style hanging dining lights gives a very royal feeling. The whole space holds a central part of the house, so much so that it’s an attraction whenever there is a gathering or party.

Many of the equipment in John Abraham’s penthouse is made up of natural products. Wherever possible, the walls were constructed from natural materials. Even the dining table is made up only teak wood and guess what? It’s hand-made. The entire construction took place in accordance with the pollution standards and green construction practices were carried out in the entire process. No wonder, the Indian Institute of Architectural Design awarded John Abraham’s penthouse as the Best Home Award in 2016.
Who would have thought that a master bedroom could look this stunning with minimal design and decoration? One could literally lie down on the bed and doze off seeing the waves in the Arabian Sea as the sliding glass doors catapult the advantage of a sea-facing house.
It also has a private balcony, needless to say offering the scenic beauty. And yes, there is an elegant Jacuzzi and a spa bathroom in the master bedroom as well. The dark tones of the wood and minimal design give a feeling of being one with nature.

Yes, you read that correctly. There is a private media room on the top floor of the house. Don’t get confused here. Private here doesn’t imply the literal sense of the word. Private here means the floor includes blinds- glass windows all across the area to conceal what’s happening inside and yet you enjoy the view of the outside. Many film screenings and shootings take place in this private media room.
