Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner’s divorce battle is one of the most gossiped topics, that has been grabbing all the headlines worldwide at the moment. While their announcement of divorce came as a shocker, it led to people becoming more inquisitive about what actually went wrong between the two. Moreover, after Sophie’s recent filing of a case against Joe, on the charges of wrongfully retaining and seemingly abducting their daughters, so that they do not return to their mother in England, things seem to have gone downhill.
According to a recent report by the Daily Mail, a source closer to Joe Jonas has revealed that the pop singer is livid and extremely disgusted over the way in which his ex-wife, Sophie is trying to portray him as a horrible father to their daughters. He is upset over the choice of public fight, that his ex-wife has chosen, and has reprimanded that if things continue the same way, then they would turn messier for the both of them, as well as their kids. The report can be quoted as:
“Joe is livid with the latest coming from Sophie, making him look like a horrible father. It is disgusting in his eyes what she has chosen to do. This is only going to be the start of stuff getting messier and messier and messier."

Moreover, the report by the Daily Mail also stated that Joe Jonas is quite frustrated over how his divorce proceedings are taking an ugly and public turn, and instead wishes to return to focus and concentrate on the ongoing Jonas Brothers' tour. It is stated:
“With the divorce, Joe is also trying to steer his commitments with the Jonas Brothers tour and just get to the other side. Frustration is the emotion running through him right now and it doesn't seem like that will be changing anytime soon.”
On September 22, 2023, Joe Jonas' representative issued the singer’s statement to the People’s Magazine and revealed the former’s reaction to his ex-wife, Sophie’s claims of wrongfully abducting their children, and barring them to return to their mother. The singer referred to it as an ‘abuse of the legal system’. Joe emphasised the misleading use of the term, abduction. He even claimed that his ex-wife demanded the return of the passports of their children, so that she could take them away with her permanently to the UK.

Back on September 6, 2023, Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas announced their separation, after months of speculation and endless buzz on the same. Sharing the same picture notes on their respective IG handles, the duo penned a note about their divorce and called it a mutual and amicable decision. They further refused to bring out the actual reason behind the same.
