Jaya Bachchan is one of the most phenomenal actresses in Bollywood. The veteran actress started her career in her teen years with Satyajit Ray's movie, Mahanagar. Since then, she has been carving a space in the heart of the cinema fanatics. Talking about her personal life, Jaya is happily married to the actor, Amitabh Bachchan, and they are parents to two kids, Abhishek Bachchan and Shweta Bachchan. Both their kids are married and have embraced parenthood. While Abhishek and Aishwarya are parents to Aaradhya, on the other hand, Shweta and her husband, Nikhil Nanda welcomed Navya and Agatsya into their lives.
Grandchildren are always special to their grandparents, and Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan are no exception. Time and again, the proud grandparents, Amitabh and Jaya, have proved how much all of their three grandparents, Aaradhya, Navya, and Agatsya, are super special to them. Although, reports have been rife that nothing is well between Aishwarya and Jaya, there was a time when the latter heaped praises on the former for the kind of a mother she is.

Moreover, she also gushed over her granddaughter, Aaradhya, and called her with a sweet fruit's name. As per a report by the International Business Times, Jaya, in an old interview called Aaradhya is not intimidated by faces, and she is beautiful. The veteran actress called her granddaughter, 'Strawberry'. Jaya said that when Aardahya was born, the then newborn reminded her of Strawberry, which is why the former called the latter the same. She also added that Aaradhya has mixed facial features, which are similar to Aishwarya and Abhishek, and she is tall. In Jaya's words:
"Aaradhya is not intimidated by faces. She is beautiful. I call her Strawberry because when she was born she reminded me of a strawberry. Aaradhya looks like a bit of Aishwarya and a bit of Abhishek. She's a tall girl."
The same report also suggested that Jaya Bachchan once joked that she often teases Aishwarya by saying that Aaradhya is a lucky girl as she has a nurse, who is also the Miss World. The veteran actress also heaped praise on her bahu and added that Aishwarya doesn't take house help and doesn't depend on anybody to raise her kid. Jaya mentioned that she would like it if Aishwarya started going out. Calling Aishwarya a hands-on mum, Jaya stated:
"I would also like Aishwarya to start going out, but she is an absolutely totally hands-on mum and doesn't depend on anybody, which I think is great."
It was back in 2023 when, during the annual event at the Dhirubhai Ambani International School, Aaradhya Bachchan left everyone in awe with her performance. From dialogue delivery to acting, everything was top-notch, and it somewhat reminded people about Aishwarya from a young age. Well, Amitabh Bachchan was also left in awe with his poti's acting skills. Taking to his blog, Amitabh shared that he couldn't get over the 'little one's performance.
He also added that she isn't little anymore. Big B also shared how proud they all felt. Not only on his blog but also tweeted on X (formerly Twitter) about the same, which speaks volumes about how proud he was to witness Aardahya's performance at DAIS.

It was on Holi 2024 when Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan hosted a low-key Holi party for Aaradhya. As per a report by BollywoodLife, this Holi party was arranged by Aishwarya, especially for Aaradhya, as the little one is all set to jet off to London or New York after her 10th examination for further studies.
