Though we have defined what it is like to date or marry a Punjabi girl, Jay Bhanushali with his own experience shares the advantages of having a Punjabi wife. Jay is married to Mahhi Vij and this much-in-love couple is living their ‘happily ever after’. In 2017, the lovebirds adopted their caretaker’s children and will fund their education. They love spending time with the little ones.

Recently, Jay and Mahhi appeared on Rajeev Khandelwal’s talk show, JuzzBaatt and their episode witnessed innumerable memory-rides, laughter moments and emotional anecdotes. One such moment which brought tears to Mahhi’s eyes was when Jay promised babies to her and said, “We have been discussing having babies for a while now, so let us take this forward.” This is like ‘music to ears’ for a wife and the best words a husband could tell his soulmate.
Speaking about their kids, Mahhi was quoted as saying, “A lot of people keep asking my friends if they are our kids because we feel that they are our kids. We want to give them the best in our capabilities. I don’t care what people say they have all the time in the world to talk. They stay with us we have no issues of them being a part of our space. Talking about her love for Jay, Mahhi once shared in an interview, “I am possessive but not an insecure wife. And I think every woman is possessive towards her husband. I don’t fear losing Jay. He can’t stay away from me for more than half an hour. My love is too strong to lose him.”
Jay and Mahhi have participated in reality shows like Fear Factor – Khatron Ke Khiladi and Nach Baliye together, and now they now want to do a fiction show. Jay recently shared, “There is too much of togetherness, you see. I would love to do a fiction show together. We did 'Fear Factor' and 'Nach Baliye' and we also won that ('Nach Baliye') show. She is a fantastic actress but she is a bit choosy, toh hopefully mere saath kaam kare aur bole that I would love to work with a young talent.”
To this, Mahhi replied, “If you are from the same industry, you know about the timings, about the struggles and mood swings. But when you are not from the industry, you cannot understand a person’s mood.
