It’s been two days since Bigg Boss 12 premiere episode aired on the television and just like its previous seasons, this season too has been brimming with controversies. And this time, the centre of these controversies, hitherto, is Anup Jalota and Jasleen Matharu. Ever since the two accepted their relationship, netizens have been trolling them on social media owing to the huge gap of 37 years between them. Yes, Anup Ji is 65 and Jasleen is just 28. Calling Bigg Boss as the perfect platform for the world to know about her relationship with Anup Jalota, Jasleen had earlier revealed the status to the Times of India.
She was quoted as saying, “This is going to come as a huge shock to my parents and friends as no one is aware of my relationship with Anup Jalota ji. We have been dating each other for the last three and a half years. We usually don’t get time to spend with each other in the outside world due to our busy schedules, but now with the help of Bigg Boss, we will get to do so. Also, we will get to know if we can stay together forever”.
And now, in the second episode of the Bigg Boss 12, after entering the house, when Jasleen opted for a single bed, Anup Ji tried to take the bed next to her. But the fellow inmates informed him that it had already been taken. To this he replied, “Toh main dur hogaya, hum khule main soenge (So, I am far apart now? We’ll sleep in the open)”. This left everyone in splits.
To Anup ji’s remarks, Jasleen responded, “Toh aap kahan pe ho abhi? Aap ek kaam karo, wait karo, apko partner mil jaega koi (So, where are you now? You do one thing, you wait. When TOI had asked Jasleen if the age gap between her and Anup ji has ever been a concern to them, she had replied, “Age gap has never bothered us and now once we go inside the house we will get to know the real reaction of people about our relationship. Since until now, nobody knew anything. So, whether good, bad or ugly, we will get reactions from the house”.
In fact, outside the Bigg Boss house, when a media portal contacted Jasleen’s father, he defended his daughter and was quoted as saying, “This news was a shocker for me as well as for my family. However, I don’t want to comment anything on her personal life till I meet her. She is on the Bigg Boss 12 house and want her to stay positive and emerge as the winner of the show”. Ever since the premiere of the show, social media users have been trolling Anup ji and Jasleen, comparing them two Priyanka Chopra-Nick Jonas, and Milind Soman-Ankita Konwar. For example, on Twitter, a user wrote, “Log Milind Soman aur Priyanka Chopra ko ro rahe hain. Yahan asli stud toh Anup Jalota nikla bhai. Abhishek Walia.” Another tweet could be read as, “When you expected Milind Soman but got #AnupJalota instead”.
Well, undeniably, Anup Jalota and Jasleen Matharu are going to make it to the headlines everyday until the season’s finale. We hope Anup ji finds a suitable partner for his bed soon (LOL).
