Jankee Parekh and Nakuul Mehta are enjoying every moment of their parenthood journey. It was in November 2020, when the adorable couple had announced the news of their pregnancy through their respective social media handles. In February 2021, Nakuul and Jankee had become proud parents to a baby boy. Two weeks after the birth of their son, Nakuul and Jankee had announced the gender-neutral name of their newborn as Sufi Mehta. Ever since, Sufi’s birth, Jankee has been sharing her motherhood experiences.
On April 13, 2021, Jankee had turned a year older and sharing an adorable picture with her baby boy, she had revealed how Sufi is the best gift of her life. Her caption could be read as “This year I couldn’t have asked for anything more than having this little man in my arms who I get to nuture for life. This birthday I wish and pray that I can be the best mother to my son and fill his heart with so much positivity, love, peace and belief that he can grow up to be the best version of himself.”
A few moments back, Jankee Parekh took to her IG handle and shared some selfies she had taken while her son, Sufi was asleep. Enjoying the ‘me’ time which every new mommy craves for, Jankee wrote, “Does it ever happen … that you wish for your child to get a long nap just so that you could get that one moment to be … with yourself and maybe, use that time to quickly get your phone out to click a few selfies… Things you did back in the day, remember ??”
Jankee further revealed how she loves going through all the adorable pictures and videos of her baby boy, Sufi. Sharing her feeling of intense FOMO, Jankee continued, “And then a couple of moments into it, you feel intense FOMO and want to binge all ‘his’ photos and videos on your phone gallery for the next whole hour till he is up again... and maybe even hope that you’d miraculously get some house guests (which hasn’t happened in forever due to the pandemic) who you can just show your baby’s photos to? Anyone, else? Ok… Guess it’s just me.”
Jankee concluded her note by revealing how she always keeps her son, Sufi close to her heart and wrote, “P.S - I have said this a zillion times on Instagram, but I do have the best neighbours in the whole wide world. Thank you for gifting me this beautiful neckpiece. Now I get to keep ‘Sufi’ close to my heart all the time (even when he’s asleep).”
In an interview with the Hindustan Times, Nakuul Mehta had spoken about the surreal feeling of becoming a father and had expressed the overwhelming feeling of being in the operation theatre and watching his child's birth. Nakuul Mehta had remarked, "It was overwhelming to be in the operation theatre (OT) besides my wife, and watch my child being born. I had heard it often enough, but nothing prepares you for that kind of rush. It’s surreal, deeply emotional and yet magical in so many ways. I’m not sure if the fact that I’m a father has sunk in completely yet. We're only a week into this, but I do feel infinite compassion and love for this new life and for everybody around me."
