Hina Khan’s life has not been easy for the past few weeks as one after another, the actress has been dealing with shocks. The actress lost her father on April 20, 2021, to cardiac arrest and a week later, she was tested positive for COVID-19. The past few weeks have been tough for Hina as she could not even grieve or take care of her family after her father’s sudden death. She conducted a LIVE session on her IG handle to update her fans about her health, wearing her late father’s t-shirt.

It was on April 26, 2021, when Hina Khan had informed her fans about her COVID positive diagnosis by sharing a post on her IG handle. Her post could be read as "In these extremely difficult and challenging times for me and my family, I have tested positive for COVID-19. Following the guidance of my doctors, I have home quarantined myself and taking all precautions. Requesting everyone who came in contact with me to get themselves tested. All I need is your prayers. Be safe and take care."
Hina has finally tested negative for the virus and to inform her fans, she conducted an IG LIVE session. In the session, Hina shared the news about her diagnosis and thanked everyone for their wishes and for taking care of her. She shared that she is recovering slowly as she still has little cough, weakness and chest congestion. Hina also shared that after hearing about her father’s death, she didn’t take proper precautions while travelling back from Srinagar. In the end of the video, Hina revealed that now she wears her later father’s clothes and is wearing his t-shirt for the LIVE as well. She said, “He is there, everywhere,” quickly changing the topic as it made her emotional. She shared the LIVE on her IG handle and wrote, “Daddy’s strong girl.”
Hina also took to her IG handle and shared two stories. In the first one, the actress can be seen recording herself, wearing her late father’s t-shirt and wrote, “#BabaKiRaniHoon” and “#DaddysStrongGirl” atop it. In the other story, Hina shared a picture with her late father, where he can be seen wearing the same t-shirt, posing with his daughter for the camera. Sharing the picture, she wrote, “Forever your strong girl” atop it.

On May 6, 2021, Hina Khan had taken to her IG stories and had shared an array of unseen pictures with her late father. Her posts had featured throwback pictures of her father from different occasions and vacations. Hina had also posted some beautiful candid moments with her father, laughing and hugging him. Atop each picture, the doting daughter had penned short and sweet messages.
To express her love and give tribute to her late father, Hina Khan had changed her IG bio to, "Daddy's strong girl." Her heartwarming gesture had won everyone's hearts. On May 1, 2021, Hina had penned an emotional note on her IG handle. She had posted two masked pictures and had written, "A Helpless Daughter. Who can’t even be with her mother to comfort her, when she needs her the most. Dear people, times are tough very tough for not just us, but everyone around. But there's a saying, tough times don’t last, tough people, do. And I am, was and will always be my daddy’s strong girl. Send in your prayers please. Let there be light. Dua."
On October 30, 2020, Hina had shared a video, in which she had told her father that she has no debit or credit cards, and he had informed her that he has blocked all her cards. Hina, in a state of shock, had asked "You blocked all my cards, kyun? You can't be blocking all my cards. How do I shop? And what if I want to buy coffee?" To which, her father had said, "I will give you Rs 200 for the coffee, and you can take cash from me." Hina had then insisted him to return all her cards, but her father had said, "You will not be getting your cards." In this video, Hina’s father could be seen wearing the same t-shirt that Hina wore for her IG LIVE session.
