The second person killed in a fiery high-speed crash in California over the weekend has been identified as a 22-year-old Florida woman named Alexis "Lexi" Kramer. For those who don't know about the incident, at around 12:18 AM on September 13, 2026, the Irvine Police Department and Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) responded to reports of a vehicle catching fire at Culver Drive and Deerfield Avenue. It was soon revealed that the vehicle veered to the right, struck a curb and a tree, split in two, and caught fire.
After firefighters extinguished the blaze, authorities found two people dead inside a 2019 McLaren. Authorities soon revealed that the first victim was James Wehr, a car influencer and co-founder of South OC Cars & Coffee. And now, hours after the incident, family members of the second victim have revealed to KTLA that the woman was Lexi Kramer. A relative told the New York Post that Kramer flew from Lakeland to meet Wehr on Friday, September 11, 2026.
The pair spent the weekend together and attended his car show before the crash. According to the Post, Wehr flew out Kramer under the pretense that he was separating from his wife, Emma Wehr. The pair spent the weekend together, during which they allegedly went on a first date, had breakfast and drinks, and attended Wehr's world-famous car show. Reports say Kramer met Wehr on Instagram and had been talking to him for a month before they met.
However, the publication reported that Orange County court records did not indicate a divorce case had been filed. The family member said Kramer had a passion for "American muscle cars and motorcycles." They were quoted as saying:
"[He] talked to her every day all the time and finally got her to fly out to California to come see him. She loved the car community, so it's such a tragedy that that's what ended her."

According to reports, James Wehr paid for Lexi Kramer's flight to meet him in person for the first time. They shared that the pair went to dinner at Nobu and had drinks at the Pendry Hotel hours before the fatal crash. Wehr also posted an image on his Instagram from the Pendry Hotel, followed by a shot of the McLaren in what appeared to be a police stop before the crash. Police later said the car was stopped at a red light near Culver Drive and Deerfield Avenue shortly after midnight Sunday.
The vehicle accelerated at high speed once the light turned green, and the driver lost control, slamming into a tree. Kramer worked as a Hooters Calendar model on Instagram and frequently posted photos and videos of cars and motorcycles online. Her sister Gracie also posted a tribute for Kramer and penned:
"My mother always told us growing up that there was always only one person meant to be with you and have your back no matter what, and that would always be your sister. Lexi was so much more than just my best friend; she was all of my love, my heart, my attitude, and my humor wrapped into a smaller, more chaotic, less filtered package."
Following the shocking revelation, Wehr's wife has made her Instagram account private. An investigation into the collision is ongoing, with the Irvine Police Department's Major Accident Investigation Team leading the probe.
