Popular actress, Akanksha Puri has been hitting the headlines ever since she entered the Bigg Boss OTT season 2. Even after getting evicted, she managed to remain the talk of the town, courtesy of her lip lock with Jad Hadid. For the unversed, during her stay inside the BB house, a lot of chemistry was brewing up between Jad and Akanksha, and the duo also got caught in a 30-second lip-lock moment for a task.
On August 16, 2023, Jad Hadid and Akanksha Puri marked their presence at Palak Purswani’s star-studded birthday bash. The duo, who was involved in the lip-lock controversy, was seen posing together on the red carpet. During the photo session, Jad and Akanksha got into a playful banter and indulged in some mushy moments together. In the video, Akanksha stunned in a silver-hued shimmery dress featuring a plunging neckline and cutout detailing and styled her outfit with a braided hairdo. On the other hand, Jad looked dapper in his casual white ensemble.

Akanksha Puri and Jad Hadid were seen holding each other close and giving kisses to each other while posing for the cameras. However, it looks like fans were not impressed with the duo's touchy behaviour and took to the comment section to troll them. Reacting to the video, a user penned, "Famous hone ke liye kuchh bhi kar lenge ye log." Meanwhile, another one commented, "Aese public pe behuda harkat kar k ky dikhana chahte ho.”

In an interview with India Today, Jad Hadid opened up about the passionate lip-lock moment that took place between him and Akanksha Puri. Talking about the same, he apologised for calling Akanksha a bad kisser and added that he regrets doing so. Jad also called Akanksha a beautiful lady and an amazing kisser, adding that he was stupid for saying such a hurtful thing to Akanksha earlier. In Jad Hadid's words:
"I definitely regret that I said Akanksha is a bad kisser. I shouldn't have done that. If you are watching this, I am really sorry, Akanksha, this is my apology to you. You are a great lady, a beautiful woman, and an amazing kisser. I gotta admit. I was stupid. I was trying to make a joke and we are definitely meeting up soon and discussing things."

In an interview with Siddharth Kanan, Akanksha Puri talked about how her love angle with Jad Hadid was called fake, as the makers felt that it was just for the TRP. Mentioning that Jad was totally into her from day one, the actress revealed that she too liked him and their bond had the potential of becoming something serious if she would have stayed inside the BB house. However, Akanksha also revealed that she takes time to form bonds and fall in love, so she didn't immediately reciprocate her feelings for Jad. Calling herself unlucky in love, the actress shared that her last relationship ended in 2019, and since then, she has not dated anyone.
