According to a report in the Economic Times, Mukesh Ambani's daughter, Isha Ambani Piramal, who is currently heading Reliance Retail, is in talks with Godfrey Phillips. The report suggests that Godfrey Phillips is the owner of the popular retail grocery chain, 24Seven, and there's a possibility with Isha Ambani.
If the report is to be believed, 24Seven can become a part of Reliance Retail, if Isha Ambani's firm can present a suitable offer to Godfrey Phillips. However, it's not a straight win for Isha Ambani as Tata Trent, which is owned by Tata Group, and D-Mart's parent company, Avenue Supermarts Limited, are also in the race to purchase 24Seven.
There's no denying the fact that with all the money that Reliance Industries Limited has at the moment, it would be a bit tricky for Tata Group and Avenue Supermarts Limited to compete with the renowned conglomerate. If we only talk about Isha Ambani's Reliance Retail, it is worth Rs. 8,20,000 crores. The reason behind it is the fact that Reliance Retail has a series of renowned brands like Hamleys, Ajio, Tira Beauty, Cover Story Clothing, Netmeds, 7-Eleven, Freshpik, and many more.
