We’re talking about India’s business magnate and billionaire, Mukesh Ambani’s daughter, Isha Ambani’s engagement party. Yes, she is engaged now, and if reports are to be believed, she would officially be taken in December 2018. But who’s the lucky groom-to-be? Well, he is Anand Piramal, son of billionaire Ajay Piramal and wife Swati Piramal.
And yesterday, on May 07, 2018, was Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal’s engagement party. Name any celebrity who resides in Mumbai who is close to the Ambanis, and they were present at the grand engagement party! Legends like Sachin Tendulkar and Shah Rukh Khan graced the occasion. Anand and Isha have been friends for quite long, and the Piramals and Ambanis have a history of almost 4 decades of friendship. Post the proposal, the families celebrated the occasion with close family members, including Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani, by going on a lunch in Mahabaleshwar itself.
For those who came in late, 26-year-old, Isha Ambani is the twin sister of Akash Ambani and is currently on the boards of Reliance Jio and Reliance Retail. Isha holds a graduate degree from Yale University in psychology and South Asian studies. She will soon be completing her Master in Business Administration programme from the Graduate School of Business, Stanford.
33-year-old hubby-to-be, Anand Piramal on the other hand, is the executive director of the Piramal Group and is the founder of its real estate business, Piramal Realty. He has studied at the University of Pennsylvania, and also holds an MBA from Harvard University.
