However, netizens do not buy her claim, and they think it is good script written to appease the audience. One user pointed, "Man, Chamola seems to be the fakest contestant on the show rn. Calling everyone and calling up Shreya, putting her in the spotlight and giving a whole speech looked like peak high school bully behaviour."
The user futher wrote, " This is a game she told the secret to the show crew so obviously she agreed to it being telecasted, laughing and telling a secret backstage when you know the format of the show, clearly tells me she doesn’t care about this ‘secret’ and everyone coming on Shreya saying oh but it’s not her place to tell the secret, ffs this is a game ppl are gonna out other ppls secret to save themselves, obviously any contestant will do that as everyone wants to stay in the game."
Another user called out Akanksha and penned, "Lol the explanation was crap and made me think if this is just scriptwriting at best. Why was she laughing along with Laila? Why was she egging Sufi on when he was giving ma behen to Shreya? Why did she backstab Shreya but is ok with filthy guys."

In the recent episode of Lock Upp 2, Akanksha found out that Shreya Kalra made her secret public and revealed that she is bisexual. For those who don't know, Shreya overheard Akanksha talking about her secret backstage during the show. Akanksha looked shocked as she found out that her secret was revealed without her knowledge.
Akanksha admitted that she was bisexual before marrying Gaurav. She even went on to claim that she had a relationship with girls. She added that she likes girls, admires them, and is attracted to them. She called it her safe space. She also stated that since it is a male-dominated world, she was always more inclined towards her mother and sisters, as she got the beautiful feminine energy from them.
Akanksha added that they live in a society where they say that women cannot stay friends. But this is not the case with her. She said:
