Aamir Khan's daughter, Ira Khan, got married to the man of her dreams, Nupur Shikhare, in an intimate registry wedding in Mumbai on January 3, 2024. And the glimpses of the wedding are all over the internet. For the unversed, Aamir Khan's damad, Nupur ran 8 km to reach his wedding venue, and he even played dhol and danced his heart out with baarat. For the unversed, Nupur and Ira are speculated to have a grand wedding in Udaipur next week. Although, Nupur set a trend with his unusual wedding attire, a certain section of netizens bashed him for the same. And now, the reason for Nupur wearing athleisure for his wedding has surfaced in the media.
For the unversed, Ira Khan's hubby, Nupur Shikhare donned a black vest and white shorts and teamed his attire with a pair of sky-blue sports shoes. While everyone is questioning his choice of attire, it was possibly Nupur's sweet gesture to Ira, as he seemingly paid an ode to his wifey. As per a report by Pinkvilla, Nupur proposed to Ira back in 2022 in Italy after successfully completing the Ironman Triathlon.

As per the same report, just like his wedding ensemble, Nupur, on that day, too, wore athleisure as he knelt to propose to his ladylove, Ira. Although it cannot be determined whether he wore the same black vest on his wedding day, it reportedly was a sweet gesture of Nupur for Ira.

Ira Khan and Nupur Shikhare took themselves as their lawfully wedded husband and wife in the presence of their close friends and family members. While Nupur wore a black vest and white shorts, Ira won hearts with her minimalistic style statement. She donned blush-pink-hued embellished dhoti pants, which she teamed with a blue-hued embroidery blouse featuring a plunging neckline. The diva opted for a dual-toned dupatta, which was attached as a veil to her red tresses. A statement choker, maang teeka, and matching earrings added an oomph factor to her look. Moreover, which was a classy touch was the bride's slippers and a watch, and oh boy, it was definitely a trendsetter. After they signed the papers, Nupur changed his outfit and looked dapper in a blue sherwani.
However, in one of the videos, which has been doing rounds in the media we could see Ira speaking while standing on the stage. However, what caught our attention was the way she made a hilarious remark about Nupur's outfit and said:
"He's going to go shower, good bye."
