Bollywood actor, Tiger Shroff who considers Hrithik as a dancing idol wished him by paying a special tribute. He went an extra mile and shot a video to recreate the magic of his popular song ‘Ek Pal Ka Jeena’ from the actor’s debut film, Kaho Na… Pyaar Hai. While Hrithik seems to be a perfect example of a dream man, his love life didn’t have a happy ending. The news of his divorce with Sussanne broke many hearts and created a stir among the fans and the media. Sussanne then opened up about it, she said, “We had reached a stage in our lives where I decided that it is better we weren't together. It was important to be aware and not be in a false relationship. We are close (friends)." In another interview, she had further added, " We do chat a lot even though we don't hang out together anymore. But above all, we are very committed to our children. We are respectful towards each other. When children are involved, it's important to put our differences aside and protect them.”
Sussanne's father, Sanjay Khan also commented on her daughter's divorce and the relationship he shared with his ex-son-in-law. He said, "I love Hrithik still and I love my daughter. They must have their reasons. Fine. But the good part is, they’re still very good friends. And the children don’t feel the negative impact of their separation because of the combined efforts of both to keep it working. They holiday together, they take care of the children from time to time, babysitting and stuff. When people say that Hrithik is no longer my son-in-law, I say I have a relationship with him: he is the father of my grandchildren, and that can never be erased! Earlier in an interview, Hrithik has talked about Sussanne, cheating, and infidelity in depth. He said, “Absolutely not. Sussanne has been very very vocal about this. She has been very vocal. And I feel like laughing at people. When people get divorced, it is not always because of infidelity by the man. That is just such a small-minded assumption.”Hrithik further added, “I am just trying to say that there are many reasons why people would like to live separate lives. Infidelity is just one of them. So the general assumption was, 'Ah he is the superstar, he must have done something wrong. She must have caught him.' That is not the case. We are great friends. It is between us. The reason that we decided to live separately may have been an inspiring reason, how do you know?”
