Popular Bollywood rap singer, Honey Singh’s personal life has gone under much debate and speculations, after his ex-wife, Shalini Talwar accused him of domestic violence and various other offences under the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act. As a result, the singer was summoned by the Tis Hazari court in New Delhi for a hearing of the case. Moreover, the duo even filed for divorce on September 10, 2022, under which Honey Singh had to pay a hefty alimony to Shalini of Rs. 1 crore. And now, almost a year later, a new development has been observed in their case, as the court has finally granted them an official divorce.
In a recent development under the ongoing divorce case of Honey Singh and his estranged wife, Shalini Talwar, the duo have been finally granted divorce. Their divorce case, which has been going on for almost two and a half years, courtesy of the several other domestic violence accusations levied on the singer by his ex-wife, got a formal ending as on November 7, 2023. The divorce was granted by the principal Judge of the family court in Delhi, Paramjit Singh.

It was back in August 2021, when Honey Singh’s then-wife, Shalini Talwar filed a case of domestic violence against the singer, at the Tis Hazari court in New Delhi. She accused him of domestic violence, sexual violence, mental harassment and financial fraud. However, when it came to the singer, soon after, he had issued a statement on the case filed against him, and simply refuted the claims that his estranged wife made. He stated:
“I am deeply pained and distressed by the false and malicious allegations levied against me and my family by my companion/wife of 20 years, Mrs. Shalini Talwar. The allegations are severely odious. I have never issued a public statement or press note in the past despite being subjected to harsh criticism for my lyrics, speculation on my health, & negative media coverage in general.”
During Shalini’s plea for justice post claiming domestic abuse on the hands of her then-husband, she also had unravelled how at a certain point of time, Honey Singh’s behaviour towards her changed. She then went on to share how the latter was involved in having frequent casual sex with other women, and also indulged in multiple extramarital affairs. And such habits of his became the sole reason as to why Honey Singh kept the news of his marriage under wraps for the longest time.

Right after his divorce battle with ex-wife, Shalini Talwar, Honey Singh made headlines as he made an appearance with model, Tina Thadani. From making joint public appearances to posing PDA-filled social media posts, the duo made it evident that they were dating one another. In fact, in many of their interviews, they had revealed how special the other one was in their lives. Unfortunately, Tina and Honey broke up in April 2022. According to a previous report by the Hindustan Times, the two of them wanted different things in life, and so they chose to end their relationship.
