Bollywood actor, Sunny Deol made a comeback to the silver screen after a hiatus of almost a decade, and he managed to grab everyone's attention. For the unversed, Sunny recently appeared in the film, Gadar 2, and he is basking in the massive success of his blockbuster hit. Amid so much love and praise from the audience, his step-mom, Hema Malini has also left no stone unturned to shower blessings on Sunny.
Hema Malini recently launched her coffee table book, Chal Maan Vrindavan, and she has been giving several interviews regarding the same. In an interview with News18 Showsha, Hema Malini opened up about the success of Sunny Deol's hit film, Gadar 2, and recalled how she pushed him to do the best film as his comeback. She stated:
“Gadar 2 is a massive success because people love Sunny a lot. They all wanted him. I used to also tell him that you have to do the best one now. Karna padega! He would say main karunga."

Further hailing Sunny, Hema expressed her excitement about the appreciation and success that the former received for his performance. Calling Sunny 'very sweet' for listening to her and giving his best in the film, the Dream Girl added:
“He was very sweet, you know, and he did this picture, and I am deeply so thrilled about it and that he has got so much appreciation, very nice. Each and every scene was so good.”
For the unversed, this is not the first time that Hema Malini left us surprised by her heartfelt statements about Dharmendra's first family. A few days back, she praised Sunny Deol and his acting skills in the hit film, Gadar 2. The veteran actress watched the film on August 18, 2023, and interacted with the media stationed at the theatre. When Hema was asked to share her review of the movie, she said that Sunny was super in the film. Hema Malini was quoted as saying:
"Sunny is superb, Utkarsh, Anil Sharma ji's son unhone ne bhi bohut sundar acting kiya hai. Jo nayi ladki hai, woh bhi bohut acchi hai. Yeh picture dekh kar ek dum rasjtra k prati jo bhav hone chahiye, patriotism, woh bohut hi hai."

Well, not just Hema Malini, even her daughter, Esha Deol came in support of Sunny Deol and lauded his film, Gadar 2. In an interview with India Today, Esha reacted to the massive success of her half-brother, Sunny Deol’s film, Gadar 2, and revealed that she loved watching every bit of it. Further, heaping praises on Sunny for his hard work and dedication, the loving sister stated that the former deserves all the success. In Esha's words:
“I was waiting to watch the film. I knew how much Bhaiya had been shooting for it and it really meant a lot to him. And when it is doing so well, we are all equally happy for him and it is well deserved. Only Sunny Deol can do what he did in a film like Gadar 2.”
