With the larger-than-life pre-wedding festivities in Udaipur attended by most prominent names in entertainment, cricket and business arenas across the world, Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal’s wedding can be billed as the most expensive wedding in the nation. Isha and Anand will tie the knot on December 12, 2018, at former’s 27-storey Mumbai residence, Antilia. Just a few hours left for the grandest wedding in town, the guests have started arriving at Antilia. From Manish Malhotra, Anil Ambani to Isha’s BFF, Kiara Advani and Aamir Khan-Kiron Rao, everyone is decked up in their traditional best attires. On the other hand, Anant and Akash make their entry on horses at their darling sister, Isha Ambani’s wedding. Here are the pictures:
Ambanis will host Isha and Anand’s lavish wedding reception at Jio Gardens, Mumbai on December 14, 2018. Not just the reception, the Ambanis are also hosting a musical concert for their guests. The wedding reception is expected to begin around 7:30 pm and the dress code for the evening is formal. The soon-to-be-married couple rendered a personal touch to their wedding reception card with a hand-written letter stating that both of them share a deep bond with their grandparents, who played key transformational roles in their lives.
Isha and Anand shared how they are fortunate to have their grandmothers and how dearly their miss their grandfathers. While selecting the symbols for the wedding, they knew it had to be an ode to their grandmothers. Then Isha and Anand decided on flowers, Lotus and Rose, which depicts the qualities and values their grandmothers embody. The invite could be read as, "It will mean the world to have you celebrate the happiest days of our lives with us." A formal announcement regarding Isha and Anand’s wedding was made on October 30, 2018, with a statement which could be read as, "We are delighted to share that the marriage of Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal will take place in the residence of Shri Mukesh Ambani and Smt. Nita Ambani in Mumbai with family members and close friends on 12th December, 2018. The ceremonies will be performed in accordance with Indian traditions, customs and culture."
It could further be read as, "During the weekend prior to the wedding, the Ambani and Piramal families will host their friends and family in Udaipur, where they are partnering with artisans and craftsmens to integrate local culture and traditions into the festivities. Both families seek the blessings and good wishes of everyone for Isha and Anand as they start their journey of togetherness. Nita and Mukesh Ambani Swati and Ajay Piramal".
Ambanis offered the wedding invitation card to the Siddhivinayak Temple, Sri Venkateswara Temple, Tirupati, Tirumala in Andhra Pradesh, Guruvayoor temple in Kerala, Sri Ramanathaswamy temple in Tamil Nadu's Rameshwaram area, Kedarnath-Badrinath temples, Ambaji Temple in Gujarat, to seek blessings for their daughter, Isha.
A few days ago, Graha Shanti Puja was hosted by the Ambanis and Isha looked like a dream in a red-coloured Sabyasachi outfit. Giving us a sneak peek to the bride-to-be’s look from the puja, Sabyasachi Mukherjee shared a few pictures on his official Instagram handle and captioned it, “Isha Ambani @_iiishmagish for her Graha Shanti Pooja in a custom hand-painted, hand-embroidered tilla-work lehenga and antique bandhej dupatta. The outfit is a part of the India Revival Project by Sabyasachi. Her look is accessorised with a necklace and earring set featuring uncut Syndicate diamonds and Zambian emeralds.
