Govinda is one of the most popular faces in the Tinseltown. The talented actor is known for his handsome looks, acting mettle and suave dance moves. He made his debut in the Hindi film industry with the 1986-released film, Ilzaam and has thereafter, worked in over hundreds of films to date. Be it romance, comedy or high-octane action films, Govinda has indeed nailed all of it in the finest manner possible. He has also received a massive number of 12 Filmfare awards.
In a recent media interaction during the Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations this year, Govinda opened up about being absent from the silver screen for so long. The actor revealed that unlike the most obvious presumption that he isn’t getting any film offers, he has, on the contrary, being getting too many offers. However, it’s just that the roles being offered are random. Sharing how, in the past one year, he has refused projects worth Rs. 100 crores, Govinda mentioned:
“I don’t accept work easily. But the people who think I’m not getting work, I would like to tell them mujhpe kripa hai Bappa ki. I have rejected projects worth Rs 100 crore last year.”

Adding more along the same lines, Govinda then went on to say how, after refusing so many lucrative film projects, he did feel frustrated at one point, as he did not end up signing them. He revealed to have slapped himself many times for the same. However, he also did not want to be a part of something random and was instead looking for something that he had already done. In his words:
“I was slapping myself in front of the mirror because I was not signing any projects. They were offering a lot of money but I didn’t want to do any random roles. I want something that I’ve done in the past. Something of that level.”
During his appearance in comedian, Maniesh Paul’s podcast, Govinda had shared his views on the frequent allegations of him reflecting an unprofessional attitude in his career. To this, the actor shared that because of his stardom, he has often been pulled down in the industry itself and added that his successful filmography simply speaks for itself.

In yet another of his interviews with Zoom Entertainment, Govinda had revealed how his experiences in the film industry have transformed his old pious self and forced him to change into a bitter and corrupt person. He revealed not being the emotional fool any longer, and having grasped the ability to deal with complicated situations more practically.
