Shah Rukh Khan and his darling wife, Gauri Khan are hailed as one of the most-loved power couples in B-Town. The duo never fails to impress their fans with their unconditional love for one another, which only speak volumes about the depth of their relationship. Moreover, the couple is known to be quite a socialite and they are often spotted arriving for grand parties and celebrations hosted by their friends and family in the industry.
Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan once attended the wedding reception of actor, Armaan Jain and his then-new bride, Anissa Malhotra Jain in 2020. For the event, Gauri looked glamorous in a shimmery silver-hued embellished gown, while SRK looked dapper in a black-hued bandhgala suit. The duo’s presence had lit the entire celebration to an altogether different level, and was stormed when the couple took to the dance floor.

Shah Rukh Khan often loves sharing fond anecdotes from his personal life, especially concerning his wife, Gauri. For instance, in one of his earlier interviews, SRK had recalled how he had tricked his then-newly married wife, Gauri into believing that they would head to Paris for their honeymoon, while they ended up visiting Darjeeling instead. He mentioned:
“When I got married, I was very poor while Gauri was middle-class, well-to-do. So like how usually everyone does, I had promised her that after we get married, 'I'll take you to Paris and show you the Eiffel Tower'. But obviously, it was all a lie because neither I had the money nor I had the air tickets but somehow I convinced her. And I felt that considering even Gauri hasn't travelled abroad, she wouldn't know much, so main usko Paris bolke Darjeeling le gaya. Yeh humara honeymoon hai.... 20-30 days after our wedding.”
Shah Rukh Khan wears his heart on his sleeve when it comes to his wife, Gauri and there can be no second thoughts to it. But, there was a time in his life when his love for Gauri had taken a form of possessiveness that had bothered her tremendously. Nevertheless, she did devise a plan to deal with it. In her old interview with Simi Garewal, Gauri recalled one episode when SRK turned extremely possessive towards her and she had to deal with it. She mentioned:
“It was possessiveness. It has turned to protectiveness. He was disgustingly possessive, he was sick. He wouldn’t let me wear a white shirt because he thought that it was transparent. It was a kink in the mind, I think. I kicked him and left him for very long. He had to learn because I said, okay, bye. Otherwise you will never see me again.”

Gauri Khan has carved her own niche in the world of interior designing, and more recently, as an author. And among everyone else, it is her husband, Shah Rukh Khan, who is the proudest of her achievements so far, and never shies away from praising her in public. For instance, during her book launch, SRK had praised her in front of everyone as he highlighted Gauri’s sense of creativity to be her biggest potential for a long time. An excerpt of the same could be heard as:
“But there was a passion she always had, there was a sense of creativity and Gauri always had that. In 24 years of our married life, we were just so busy settling down in Mumbai, and the overwhelming responsibility from the profession that I am in, just to deal with it and lead a normal life, bringing up children, that she never realised that there was an aspect of her which she needed to have for some kind of life for. And I think this book stands for that."
