Gaurav and Akanksha were recently seen at the same event at Ekta Kapoor's residence, where they appeared in the same frame. However, social media users were quick to point out that they made no effort to interact with each other.

A video shared by Viral Bhayani is doing the rounds on the internet after it showed Gaurav Khanna and Akanksha Chamola attending the same event. In the clip, the actors were seen standing only a few feet apart in a crowd of guests. However, despite being at the same event, they did not interact or acknowledge each other on camera.
The brief moment was enough to start new speculations on the internet. Several fans have noted how the couple shared the same frame but seemed engaged in different conversations. In turn, the video quickly went viral on social media. Many social media users pointed out the visible distance between the couple. One person commented, "Everyone has their own personal reasons. All should remain happy at their places." Another user wrote, "Very hurtful. Yaar pata nahi Gaurav ke liye aacha nahi lag raha hai. Galat ho sakta hai woh, but we don't know."
Notably, the couple used to often appear together at public events and on social media. In contrast, their latest appearance has painted a different picture on social media. Although neither Gaurav nor Akanksha has commented anything about the viral clip, fans felt it was awkward. Some others suggested that they might be simply maintaining distance during a public gathering.
For those who do not know, the viral sighting of the couple comes weeks after Akanksha publicly revealed that she and Gaurav had separated. It was during her appearance on Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa Season 2 when she revealed that they were living separately for more than a year. In fact, they were in the process of ending their marriage.
Akanksha shared that a significant reason for the end of their marriage was their contrasting viewpoint about parenthood. According to her, she felt no desire to have children. Meanwhile, Gaurav's perspective changed over time, and he eventually wanted to become a father. The difference in their life goals reportedly led them to understand that they were not moving in the same direction. In her words:
"When we were married, I never had a maternal instinct... Gradually, I realised I'm not meant for it. And he was okay with it, but I guess with time, that shifted. Now, he wants to have kids, and I can't give him that."
Still, Gaurav and Akanksha have frequently emphasised that there is no bitterness between them. The actor publicly defended Akanksha from online trolling and admitted that his respect for her is unchanged. Meanwhile, the actress dismissed the reports claiming that she demanded a massive alimony from Gaurav. However, she has also unfollowed Gaurav on social media and removed his pictures from her profile. Yet, Gaurav continues to follow her and still has some of their photos on his Instagram handle.

Long before Gaurav Khanna and Akanksha Chamola's relationship became turbulent, they were one of the most charming couples in the Indian Television industry. They reportedly first met at an audition, when Akanksha mistakenly thought he was a newcomer.
Akanksha had no clue about his popularity and instead gave him acting advice and tips. Gaurav was amused by the situation and played along. He also introduced himself with a fake name. Eventually, when the truth came out, he asked her to search for him online, and she was surprised by his fame.
Soon, their friendship turned into romance, and they got married. Akanksha is nine years younger than Gaurav, and they have different personalities, which they balanced during their decade-long marriage. In fact, Gaurav made a grand proposal with nearly 100 balloons before they tied the knot in a grand wedding in Kanpur in 2016.
