Being a father is the most crucial turning point in any man's life. The bond shared between a father, and his child can never be described in words. It is said that men fear showing their emotions, but when they become 'papa bears', their every emotion reflects on their faces. A father is a guiding force and a pillar of strength in a child's life. And television actor, Gaurav Chopraa and his wife, Hitisha Chopra have finally embraced the journey of parenthood as they get blessed with a baby boy. Since the past few months, Gaurav was going through an emotional turmoil as he had lost his parents to COVID-19 in just ten days. While the loss is irreplaceable, Gaurav's life is finally getting back on track with the birth of his newborn baby. The actor's wife, Hitisha, gave birth to their bundle of joy in a private nursing home in her hometown, Bengaluru.
On September 14, 2020, Gaurav took to his Instagram handle and shared the baby arrival news. The actor posted a cute picture of two placards on their door, which revealed that he became a proud daddy of a baby boy. Alongside it, he wrote, "19-08-2020, 29-08-2020, 14-09-2020. Enlightenment in three dates. The meaning of life, explained in this short span of time, a roller coaster ride, a cycle, never-ending an emotional and physical test. And then divine intervention and a bountiful blessing today. Between the morning and the afternoon, between two placards on the door, everything changed." Check it out below:
Recently, in an interview with The Times of India, Gaurav talked about the happy news. He said, "The last few months have been extremely tough for my family and me. But becoming a father feels like divine intervention from God. Just when you have seen both your parents pass away, and have gone through a tumultuous journey, to see another life come to your home, makes you feel so blessed. I have been in Bengaluru for the past few days. The baby was due after a few days, but Hitisha delivered the baby today. Both of them are healthy and doing well. Gaurav also shared whether he was scared of embracing fatherhood amid pandemic, "It is a difficult time right now. And although I was delighted when Hitisha got pregnant, I was also scared at the way the pandemic was progressing. We were taking extreme precautions and since my parents fell sick, I couldn't make this news public. My parents must be elated in heaven to see that I have become a father."
For those who don't know, Gaurav had tied the knot with Hitisha in a 'hush-hush' ceremony. In an interview with the Bombay Times, the actor had shared talked about the same and had said, "I have never hidden my relationships. I have gone to the world holding my beloved's hand, but with time, I realised that it backfires. I am a private person now. The marriage was purely dedicated to my family. It was as traditional as it could get with me on a chariot in my baraat. I followed all the rituals as I was told. Main ek achhe bete ki tarah sab karta raha. Given a choice, I would have preferred a destination wedding, but it was always supposed to be a close-knit affair. It's more of an arranged match and I fell for Hitisha's simplicity."
