Aayush Sharma's Grandfather And Former Union Minister Pandit Sukh Ram Passed Away, Actor Pens A Note

It's a dark day for the Indian Congress Party after the veteran leader of the party and former Union Minister, Pandit Sukh Ram had passed away at the age of 94. The heart-breaking news was confirmed by his grandson, Aayush Sharma through a teary-eyed picture post on his social media platform. The veteran politician was admitted to All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on May 7, 2022, after his health had started deteriorating. However, despite doctors' best efforts, Pandit Sukh Ram had died due to a brain stroke.

It's an extremely painful situation for both Khan and Sharma clans as Pandit Sukh Ram was loved by everyone in the family. For the uninitiated, the late politician was a former Member of Lok Sabha from Himachal Pradesh's Mandi constituency.

On May 11, 2022, Aayush Sharma took to his Instagram handle and shared the devastating news of his grandfather, Pandit Sukh Ram's demise. The doting grandson confirmed the news of his grandfather's passing with a heavy heart and shared a picture in which he penned a few words for his grandfather. In his heart-breaking note in the photo, Aayush stated that he knows that his dadaji will always be looking over him and guiding him in his life. The doting grandson's teary-eyed note can be read as:

"With a very heavy heart I bid farewell to my beloved dadaji Pandit Sukh Ram Sharma. Even though you're gone, I know you'll always be with me, guiding me, looking over me and blessing me like you always do. Rest in peace dadaji, you will be missed."

A few days ago, speculations were rife that Aayush Sharma's grandfather, Pandit Sukh Ram had passed away. However, the grandson had taken to his IG handle and had dropped a picture in which he had clarified that his grandfather was alive and fighting. Aayush had requested everyone to pray for his well-being and had also told media portals not to pay any heed to the ongoing rumours. Aayush's note could be read as:

"My grandfather pandit sukh ram is a strong soul and fighting back bravely. To all the reports and rumours, in this testing time for our entire family, I kindly request everyone to pray for his well-being and refrain the media from paying heed to any false news. We would keep you updated and informed about his health at every step. Heartfelt gratitude for all the prayers."

For the unversed, late Pandit Sukh Ram had also won the Vidhan Sabha elections on five occasions. He had also served as the Minister of Communications and Information Technology from 1993 to 1996. During his short span, Pandit Sukh Ram had taken some ground-breaking decisions, and one of them was bringing mobile technology to India. It was on July 31, 1995, when the first call was done in India with the help of a mobile, and the call had happened between Pandit Sukh Ram and West Bengal Chief Minister, Jyoti Basu. Pandit Sukh Ram will always be remembered for generations to come for his groundbreaking vision to bring mobile phone technology to India.
