And in the midst of it, Sushmita Sen's brother, Rajeev Sen is all set for writing his own fairytale with television actress, Charu Asopa. The couple has already been pronounced lawful husband and wife on June 9, 2019. And while we totally loved the wedding pictures from their court marriage, we wondered where was didi Sushmita. Later, we came to know, she was present with the duo as one of the most special gifts. Sushmita had designed the wedding outfits for their big day.
Now, they are set for their Goa wedding, the pre-wedding functions have already started. And Rajeev gave us a glimpse of his beautiful dulhan, Charu from their mehendi ceremony. Oh boy! the actress looked nothing less than a fashionista. Her lehenga is a perfect inspiration for 2019 brides, who are looking to channelise their inner swag. In the picture, we can see Charu donning a floral pink lehenga with a strappy golden blouse. She accentuated her look with kripaan that is carried by the groom on his wedding day in a Punjabi wedding. She finished off her look with maangtikka, choker neckpiece and a pair of earrings. A couple of hours ago, Rajeev had shared a mushy picture with the love of his life, Charu on his Instagram handle that clearly shows us he cannot wait to get over with the necessary rituals. In the picture, we could see Charu donning a pastel blue suit, while Rajeev was in his usual casual t-shirt. He had captioned the picture as, "Truly madly deeply yours @asopacharu #engagementday #rajakibittu pic credit @chintanasopa". But it was his muse that was more excited than him as she had instantly commented, "Babie get ready for engagement." Check it out below:
For those who don't know, the couple met at a friend's party, and have been dating each other, since then. A source close to the couple had revealed, "Yes, Charu and Rajeev are dating each other. Their relationship is very tender at this stage. Both of them are not ready to converse about their relationship in public as of now and are taking things slowly. They are really loving of each other. The two bumped at a party and got along like a house on fire." In an interview with the Bombay Times, Charu had shared the details of her wedding, and had said, "It will be an intimate affair with just 20-25 people each from our respective families in attendance. Our families had originally zeroed in on a date in December, but Rajeev, during a conversation with me, said that it’s too far. That’s how we advanced the date to June 16. Forget others, even our families were surprised to learn about our decision. We will have a reception in Mumbai depending on the availability of our families and friends."
She had further added, "I have always dreamt of having a white wedding. So, we plan to have a Christian-themed engagement and I will wear a white gown for it. The idea is to start with white — the colour stands for peace and purity — and then add colours to our functions and costumes, with us in red on our wedding day. We will be colour-coordinated for all our functions. While the pheras will happen according to Rajasthani and Bengali rituals, the theme for the wedding will be royal Rajasthani. I am in a shopping mode now. I haven’t taken up any new project, as I want to spend time with Rajeev after marriage."
