Like every year, the beginning of 2015 also brought a lot of speculations about various celebrity couples who would be tying the knot this year. While a lot of them turned those guesses into a reality, there is one couple who just shocked everyone as they announced their decision to split-up.
Well, we are talking about the famous television couple, Divyanka Tripathi and Ssharad Malhotra, who ended their relationship after seven years. The couple confirmed the news by giving statement to a leading daily in Mumbai. The two stated, "The decision of calling off the relationship is mutual. We had a beautiful journey and the most lovely memories are helping us part ways cordially."

Divyanka and Ssharad met for the first time in 2006, on the set of their debut show, Banoo Main Teri Dulhann. Although the two were believed to be together since then, they chose to remain silent about their relationship. It was only a few months ago, when they admitted being in a relationship with each other. And, soon after this news, there were a lot of rumours about the two getting married sometime in this year.

As the audiences loved to see them together on-screen, their fans were eager to see them getting hitched soon. But, the couple came with another shocker as they recently announced that they have decided to part ways. The two gave this statement to Bombay Times,
“The decision of calling off the relationship is mutual. We had a beautiful journey and the most lovely memories are helping us part ways cordially. Yet, it's a painful process and speculations only increase the pain. We request the media to be considerate. This is the final word on this subject and we won't be talking about what went wrong in our relationship. We believe it wasn't destined to last.”

While Divyanka and Ssharad have decided to remain tight-lipped about the reason behind the split, a few close friends are believed to have revealed the truth. And, one of the major reasons is believed to be their busy schedules and inability to give time to each other. Divyanka is presently working in a popular TV show, Ye Hai Mohabbatein, while Ssharad is busy with another leading show, Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap. As per one of their friends, “Divyanka wanted marriage but Ssharad wasn't ready for it. Also, they failed to spend quality time with each other because of their work commitments.”

In fact, the actor had also mentioned in one of his interviews, "There is a lot of work coming up from my end now and I am not paying too much attention to my personal life. When the wedding happens, if it happens, whoever it is that I get married to, it will happen because we are normal people. As of now, I don't see it happening anytime soon."
Recently, there have been rumours that Divyanka is in a relationship with her co-star from the show Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, Vivek Dahiya. Reports also suggest that the two will tie the knot soon. And, in one of his interviews, when Ssharad was asked about this recent development in his ex-girlfriend's life, this is what he had to say:
“I heard she's happy. I wish her all the best. I will always wish the best for her.”

Although the two have decided to call it quits in real life, we totally loved seeing them together on-screen and just hope that we get to see that chemistry once again.
