Kim Jong Dae, popularly known by his stage name, Chen, is all set to hold his social wedding ceremony in October 2023. SPOTV, on August 16, 2023, reported that EXO’s lead vocalist, Chen, will hold his wedding ceremony in October. The idol is already married to his non-celebrity wife, and the couple are proud parents of two daughters. The wedding ceremony of Chen was long overdue, and it seems like the celebration is soon on the cards.
For the unversed, Chen is the lead vocalist of the renowned South Korean boy band EXO. The singer got married back in 2020 and is yet to hold a social ceremony for the same. Chen served his compulsory military service from October 2020 as an active duty soldier and has recently returned from it.

SPOTV reported on August 16, 2023, that Chen will hold his wedding ceremony in October 2023. The ceremony was long overdue as the vocalist got married three years back in January 2020. The couple soon had their first daughter in April 2020 and their second on January 2022. The wedding ceremony can be held anytime during October 2023, and all of Chen’s family, close friends, and EXO members will be in attendance. In response to the report Chen's agency, SM Entertainment confirmed the reports of his upcoming wedding ceremony and stated:
"Chen is going to hold a wedding ceremony, which has been delayed due to circumstances, in October.”
Chen married a non-celebrity and was excessively secretive of his wife and daughters. So much so that the fans are unaware of Chen’s wife’s name. Multiple reports suggest that the duo met at their church, and a mutual friend introduced them to each other. They had been friends for a long time before the cupid stuck Chen, and he proposed to his now wife. Fans eagerly await the face reveal of the family, hoping that the wedding ceremony will be the event where Chen will come in front of the media with his beautiful family.

Chen is all ready to debut his solo Japanese album, Polaris. The album consists of six tracks, all of different genres. His lead tracks are titled 'Light Of My Life,' 'Break Out,' 'Free World,' 'On the road,' 'Mirage of Flower', and 'My Sunshine'. After releasing his Japanese album, Chen will also start his Japanese tour from Nagyoa and cover Yokohama, Osaka, Oyakama and Kitakyushu. Chen’s agency, SM Entertainment, stated that Polaris compares the journey of life to a road trip, and each song depicts the different circumstances one faces. SM Entertainment further added:
“The album compares the journey of life to a road trip, and Chen sang the different feelings people face in their life’s journey. The lead track ’Light Of My Life,” features the message of ‘finding the light of hope within the journey of life.”
