However, one such woman that always inspire us is Bollywood actress, Esha Deol Takhtani, who recently made her directorial debut with short-film, Cakewalk. Esha, daughter of Bollywood’s dream girl, Hema Malini, and legendary actor, Dharmendra, has been continuing their legacy with her free-spirited will and charm.
On March 8, 2019, Esha gave a glimpse of how she is celebrating Women’s Day at her daughter, Radhya Takhtani’s school. She took to Instagram and posted a picture of a pedicure session with her baby girl. Along with the picture, she wrote, “#womansdaytreat at baby’s school. all the #mommies walked into this lovely blissful surprise #footmassage. Organised by the school aaaaaaaah!!! Recently, Esha was in Jaipur to address a seminar on ‘Women Empowering Women’, wherein she talked about the work-life balance and had said, “All women are experts at multi-tasking and they can bring a perfect balance in their professional and personal life. Being a full-time working mother, I feel guilty at times, but with the support of my family, especially my husband, I have no guilt trip. I am lucky to have the support of my husband, who is a hands-on father and can take good care of my daughter when I am away from home.”
Esha, who is expecting her second baby, talked in length about embracing the journey for the second time. In an interview with Mumbai Mirror, she had revealed, “Both (Esha and her husband, Bharat Takhtani) of us definitely wanted another baby as we grew up with siblings and wanted the same fun company for Radhya. She also shared about her babymoon plans and had stated, “I don't think I can call it a babymoon the second time around as I can’t go anywhere without my baby. I will take Radhya with me everywhere I go so let's just call it a family vacation for Bharat, Radhya and me whenever we plan to travel.”
In a throwback interview, when Esha was expecting Radhya, Esha had revealed, “Mamma loved doing things for Ahana and me, and today I understand that sense of joy when I dote and fuss over my little one. It is something that makes you feel complete as a mother. Beautiful Radhya fills up my days and nights. Both Bharat and I are extremely fortunate to be blessed with her in our lives. Radhya is bubbly and always smiling. Sometimes she does mischievous things that instantly bring back memories of my own antics as a child.”
In the same interview, she was also asked if life has changed post-Radhya, and she had replied, “Mamma, Ahana and my in-laws comprise a strong support system for Radhya. My life feels more complete now, after having had her. Motherhood has made me more confident, content and relaxed as a person, it has worked like magic for me. A large chunk of my daily routine involves Radhya now. As soon as I finish this interview, it will be her bath time. We maintain a strict routine for her”.
