Yes, you heard that right and it is of none other than the richest man of India, Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani’s son, Akash Ambani. After a lot of hullabaloos, Akash is finally getting married to his childhood love, Shloka Mehta, who happens to be the daughter of Russell Mehta and Mona Mehta.
Also, for the ones who don’t know, she is the co-founder of ConnectFor, her brainchild which gathers volunteers for various NGOs running in Mumbai. Akash and Shloka are all set to tie the knot on March 9, 2019. And so, the wedding festivities have already begun! Yesterday evening i.e. March 7, 2019, was the day when the Ambanis and Mehtas had the Mala and Sangeet ceremony. This pre-wedding celebration was as grand as one could have expected. As far as the wedding itinerary is concerned, an India Today report had earlier reported, “The Mangal Baaraat will assemble at the Trident in Mumbai at 3.30pm on Saturday. From the Trident, the baaraatis are to leave for the Jio World Centre in Bandra Kurla Complex. High tea will be hosted for the guests at Jio World Centre at 6.30pm on March 9. Akash and Shloka's wedding ceremony will take place at 7.30pm.” Apart from this, there will also be a wedding reception that Ambanis and newly-weds will host on March 10, 2019, for the biggies from business, Bollywood, politics and cricket world. In an interview earlier, Shloka had opened up about her equation with the Ambanis and how she has managed to keep up their relationship despite tight-packed working schedules. Here’s what the bride-to-be had shared, “Despite years and busy schedules, we have always found ways to stay connected. Akash is incredibly grounded, and we share a bond based on meaning and memories. We don't just get along - we also support each other's hopes and aspirations and are determined to build a sense of purpose into our lives together. We are lucky to have a love that began with being best friends and luckier still to have such supportive families." On the other hand, Akash Ambani was quoted as saying, “I am truly happy that our friendship has blossomed into love and Shloka and I are getting married, she is a truly special and extremely kind-hearted person” Talking about the to-be Ambani bahu, a source close to the family had shared, “Shloka is a very charming girl, extremely cultured and it’s difficult to say which of the two families is lucky with this upcoming marriage."
