For everyone, June 11, 2019, began with a piece of happy news. Esha Deol and Bharat Takhtani embrace parenthood for the second time and became proud parents to a baby girl. Esha and Bharat welcomed their little angel on June 10, 2019, at Hinduja Hospital, Mumbai and they have named her Miraya Takhtani. The Deol and Takhtani families were already on cloud nine with the arrival of Esha and Bharat’s firstborn, Radhya Takhtani and now they have another reason to celebrate. Esha Deol and Bharat Takhtani have taken to their Instagram handle to announce the arrival of their baby girl and reveal her name. Esha and Bharat shared a pink poster stating, “Welcome to our tribe. Baby Girl Miraya Takhtani Born on 10th June 2019. Big sister Radhya, Proud Parents Esha & Bharat Takhtani. Gratitude to the divine.” While Esha captioned her post as, “Thank you very much for the love & blessings @bharattakhtani3 #radhyatakhtani #mirayatakhtani”, Bharat wrote, “Thank you very much for the good wishes & blessings @imeshadeol #radhyatakhtani #mirayatakhtani”.
A day after giving birth to her little angel, Miraya Takhtani, Esha Deol was contacted by the Mumbai Mirror and the second-time newbie mommy excitedly talked about her two daughters. Revealing how her second daughter, Miraya’s name is connected to their firstborn, Radhya’s name, Esha stated, “When Lord Krishna worships Radha, it’s called Radhya, while Miraya means a devotee of Lord Krishna. Both the girls have that in common and I love how Radhya and Miraya sound together.”
Esha Deol also shared that she has asked her mother, Hema Malini to take out 10 days from her busy schedule to be with the family. Esha gushes the ‘over the moon’ mood of the second-time grandparents with the new arrival is “more the merrier with grandchildren”. And for the Deol-Takhtani family, Esha said, “Celebrations had begun the moment we learnt that I was expecting. And the closer you get to the due date, the excitement in the house increases. Now, my sister (Ahana) and sisters-in-law will decorate the house.”
Explaining the upside of having two kids, Esha Deol was quoted as saying, “My sister and I shared a room for a long time, and so did my husband and his younger brother. We are going to get the girls to share the nursery that Noorien (Jumani, interior designer) had designed for us earlier. Now, she has tweaked the interiors to make room for Miraya. The girls are going to share a lot of things, from doll houses to clothes. Sharing how her first daughter, Radhya Takhtani responded to her baby sister, Esha Deol remarked, “The day she figured out that my stomach was getting bigger, we told her about the baby, and she had been excited about it ever since. I am sure she will be a wonderful elder sister.”
In another post-delivery interview with the Mid-Day, Esha Deol shared the excitement on welcoming their little angel, Miraya Takhtani, “Bharat and I are extremely happy and blessed. It's wonderful to have another girl in the family. Bharat is one lucky [guy] who will be surrounded by three beautiful women, all his life. Miraya and Radhya will complement each other.”
Elated grandparents, Hema Malini and Dharmendra were also spotted visiting their newborn grandchild and mommy, Esha Deol at the hospital. Hema ji took a break from her political commitments in Mathura and was with her daughter, Esha during her delivery. Hema ji spoke to the Mid-Day, "All of us are happy to have little Miraya in our family. It always feels nice to be surrounded with little angels."
After their first daughter, Radhya Takhtani was born, Esha Deol had revealed her feelings of embracing motherhood, and had stated, “Mamma loved doing things for Ahana and me, and today I understand that sense of joy when I dote and fuss over my little one. It is something that makes you feel complete as a mother. Beautiful Radhya fills up my days and nights. Both Bharat and I are extremely fortunate to be blessed with her in our lives. Radhya is bubbly and always smiling.
