Hema Malini and Dharmendra’s elder daughter, Esha Deol always wanted to be an actress and followed the footsteps of her parents. She made her acting debut in 2002 with the film, Koi Mere Dil Se Poochhe, which was followed by films like Kaal, Dhoom, No Entry and a few others. Apart from being an actress, Esha is a classical dancer and has also written a book.
The stunning actress got married to businessman, Bharat Takhtani on June 29, 2012, and the duo is blessed with two daughters, Radhya and Miraya. Unfortunately, after 12 years of marriage, Esha and Bharat announced their separation, which came as a shock to her fans. There had been rumours about trouble in the couple’s paradise after Bharat missed Hema Malini’s 75th birthday celebrations. However, resting all the noise, Esha and Bharat announced their separation on February 6, 2012.

Do you know that Esha and Bharat renewed their wedding vows in 2017? During Esha Deol’s godh bharai ceremony, she remarried her husband, Bharat, in a traditional way at the ISKCON temple in Mumbai. From Tel Kumkum ceremony to saath pheras, every ritual was followed. Speaking about the same in an interaction with Pinkvilla, Esha stated:
“It was a wonderful ceremony with just Bharat's and my families in attendance. Everyone present performed the 'tel kumkum'. As part of the rituals, Bharat and I took three pheras around the fire. I joked with Bharat that he was stuck with me again."
For their second wedding, Esha donned a pink-coloured custom-made lehenga from the shelves of designer Neeta Lulla. The Anarkali featured gold motifs all over it, and she teamed it with a red-coloured dupatta. She accessorised her look with Kundan jewellery, which comprised a heavy necklace, matching earrings, bangles, nath and maang teeka. With glossy lips, bindi and kohl-rimmed eyes, she completed her look. On the other hand, Bharat opted for a white-hued kurta-pyjama.
Esha and Bharat followed Sindhi as well as South Indian rituals for the wedding ceremony. It was a grand event hosted by Esha’s family and was attended by Jaya Bachchan, Madhu and other eminent guests and family friends. In October 2017, Bharat and Esha welcomed a baby girl, whom they named, Radhya and two years later, the couple embraced parenthood again and welcomed their second daughter, Miraya.
Ever since Esha and Bharat got married, the couple has been posting mushy pictures with each other on their respective social media handles. However, the duo stopped posting anything about one another and even stopped making public appearances as well. On top of it, Bharat’s absence during Hema Malini’s grand 75th birthday bash also added fuel to the fire.

A few months back, viral news posted on Reddit gave another hint that Esha and Bharat have parted ways. The post talked about how Bharat cheated on the actress as a netizen claimed that they saw Bharat with his alleged girlfriend at a paid party in Bangalore. While many details about Bharat's ladylove are not known, the netizen shared that she lives in Bangalore. As the murmurs about Esha and Bharat gained momentum, the duo, in a joint statement announced:
“We have mutually and amicably decided to part ways. Through this shift in our lives, the best interests and welfare of our two children is and will be of utmost importance to us. We’d appreciate our privacy is respected.”
For the unversed, Esha Deol and Bharat Takhtani were high school sweethearts.
