For the unversed, after a whole lot of speculations, Esha has reportedly confirmed her separation from her husband, Bharat Takhtani, after almost 12 years of marital bliss. However, amid all this going on, let us look at one unheard anecdote about Esha's marital life, which she has mentioned in her book, Amma Mia.
In a part of her book, Amma Mia, which was published back in 2020, Esha Deol shared that her marital life has changed her and made her mature. The actress added that since 2012, a lot of things have changed in her life after she got hitched. Talking about the same, Esha remarked how she couldn't wear shorts and tops in her house just like she used to do before marriage. She also mentioned that Bharat's family was wonderful, and they took the diva into their fold without even any effort on her part. Esha penned:
"When we got married in 2012, there were many things that changed. Of course, once I began living with his family, I couldn’t roam around the house in my shorts and ganjis like I used to."

In her book, Esha Deol penned how all the women in the Takhtani house used to pack delicious food for their husbands, while she couldn't even cook one single dish. The actress shared that her mother-in-law never insisted the former go in the kitchen and do any orthodox things as a bahu. Esha further revealed that her saas used to call her third son, and as she was the first bahu of the Takhtani, thus she was really pampered and used to receive chocolate brownies, fruits, and cream. An excerpt from Esha's book can be read as:
"In fact, she always tells me that I am like her third son. And since I was the first bahu in the house, I was pampered rotten. Someone was always sending me chocolate brownies and fruit and cream.”
In an old interview with Filmfare, Bharat Takhtani talked about Esha Deol and heaped praises on his wifey for taking good care of his family. Bharat had shared how Esha takes care of his mom, and although she seems a little tomboyish outside, but the diva is extremely gharelu. Bharat mentioned that Esha is really careful and responsible, and she looks up to his liking. The businessman stated that for someone who doesn't know how to make chai, making Khow Suey for her hubby the next day was something adorable.

A few days ago, a report by the Delhi Times stated that Esha Deol and Bharat Takhtani have officially confirmed their separation and issued a joint statement, wherein they added that they parted ways on a mutual and amicable note. The estranged couple also penned that their daughters' well-being would be their utmost priority, and they requested people to respect their privacy.
