Rahul Vaidya and Disha Parmar were rumoured to be dating for the longest time, however, their pyaar reached parvaan when the singer was locked inside Bigg Boss 14's house. The show had witnessed Rahul’s wedding proposal and Disha’s acceptance with proper band baja. Since the show, their fans have been waiting for their wedding and post the show, Rahul and Disha have talked about their wedding plans numerous times. However, while planning for their wedding, the couple had attended their friend’s wedding and the pictures and videos had gone viral from the same. Disha and Rahul had attended his friend’s wedding and it was on March 10, 2021, that, she had posted a picture with him on her social media handle from the ceremony. While Rahul had looked dapper in a navy blue coloured kurta, Disha had looked like sunshine in her yellow skirt and crop top, and together the couple had made heads turn with their vibrant picture. Disha had captioned the post as “Blessing your feed with a picture of two cuties!! @rahulvaidyarkv @israniphotography.”
However, the wedding festivities of Rahul’s friend have ended, Disha shared a few stunning pictures from a photoshoot held during those days, and it was one picture that caught everyone’s attention. In the picture, while Disha looked gorgeous in a purple dress, it was the henna on her hand that caught everyone’s attention as the actress has her beau, Rahul’s initial designed in her mehendi. While Disha asked her followers to caption the picture, ‘Dishul’ fans as the couple is called by their fans could not help but notice Rahul’s name on Disha’s hand. On March 13, 2021, Rahul and Disha had shared pictures from their friend's wedding on their respective Instagram handles. While Rahul had looked dapper in angrakha-style kurta with a beige-coloured short jacket, Disha had looked beautiful as ever in a pink-hued saree. Disha had also shared glimpses from another ceremony, wherein she was dancing her heart out in a red ensemble. On the other hand, Rahul had looked dapper in a tuxedo.

In a conversation with Telly Talk India, Rahul had revealed the kind of wedding he wants to have and who all from the Bigg Boss house are going to attend his wedding. He had said, "(Salman Khan) Sir toh aanewale hai. Aly and Jasmin will be definitely there. Guest list hum milke dekhenge abhi. Main thoda secluded kisam ka insaan hoon. Main performer hoon, live shows kiye hai, badi-badi shaadiyon mein perform kia hai, jaha 1000 log, 500 log hote hain. But meri shaadi jo hogi usme 50-60 log apne gine chune honge."
In another interview with ETimes, Rahul Vaidya had revealed the moment he had realised his love for Disha inside the BB house. He had shared that Disha had always wanted a grand proposal, but she had no clue that it will become this special for them. He had said, “I realised each and every emotion and relationship when I was inside the house. I would remember the person who would cook food for me at my house to every bond, relation and friend inside the BB 14 house. I realised that there is this beautiful person, girl Disha in my life, why not marry her. So that's why I proposed to her on national television. She had once told me that if someone ever proposes to me I want it to be grand, par itna special ho jaayega woh usse bhi nahi pata tha...”
