On February 22, 2018, Dipika said 'qubool hai' to the love of her life, Shoaib Ibrahim, and it was the start of a beautiful tale. Dipika got along with his family like they have known each other forever. She has always been open about her beautiful relationship with her sister-in-law, Saba. From sharing cutesy pictures with each other to planning cute gifts, their Instagram feeds are an ode to their relationship. Today (June 6, 2019), Saba took to her Instagram handle and shared a beautiful mastery of Dipika on her Instagram story. While we already know, she is a great a cook, her sister-in-law confirmed it by posting a picture of her homemade kulfis for the Eid celebrations at their home. She captioned the picture as, "Homemade kulfi by the best cook @ms.dipika. Trust me it is the yummiest." Take a look at it below:
For those who don't know, Dipika and Shoaib's relationship brewed on the sets of Sasural Simar Ka. However, Dipika always resisted her feelings as she had already suffered at the hands of an unhappy marriage with Raunak Mehta. In an interview with SpotboyE the couple had shared the details of their love story. Shoaib had stated, "Frankly, no one has officially proposed to anyone. That happened now. When we were doing the show (Sasural Simar Ka) together, there was nothing. Actually there was something. When I left the show, we realised there is something which is missing." Dipika had further added, "Yes. After that we felt that there is something between us, we are not just friends. If you ask me, we don't have a cute love story like others." In another interview, Dipika had talked about holding onto her feelings for Shoaib as she had the label of divorce on her. She had stated, "I wanted to be sure that this relationship wasn't on the rebound. Also, we were getting to know each other better. No matter how progressive we become, being a divorcee has some kind of a social stigma attached to it in our society.”
She had further gone on to say, "I had that stamp on me. But he gave me that space and despite being aware of my past, never complained about it. He has in fact always respected that. Coming from a small town, even his parents never let me feel that. I have always longed for family. Ammi sends dabba for me when my mother is not there. I feel I am more close to his mom than him.
