South superstar, Rajnikanth's daughter, Aishwaryaa Rajnikanth and Dhanush were once hailed as the 'IT' couple of Tollywood. They were one of the most loved couples in the South Indian film industry. However, destiny had other plans, as Dhanush and Aishwaryaa decided to end their marriage in January 2022. For the unversed, the duo tied the knot in 2004, and they are blessed with two kids, Yatra and Linga. Lately, rumours have been rife that Aishwaryaa and Dhanush have decided to give their relationship another chance. However, the recent media reports suggest otherwise.
A recent report in the Hindustan Times revealed that the South superstar, Dhanush and his ex-wife, Aishwaryaa Rajnikanth are not going to reconcile. A source close to the duo mentioned that Dhanush has not been working on the differences with his ex-wife, and they have moved on in their lives. Adding that Dhanush and Aishwaryaa have accepted their fate, the source said:
"Dhanush is not working on his differences with Aishwaryaa. They are separated and gone in different directions. They have made peace with the turn of events in their life, and accepted that they can’t be together."

Further, in the same report, it was mentioned that the rumours about Dhanush and Aishwaryaa's reconciliations are untrue as they are not together anymore. As per the report, the duo are living separately, but they have not yet filed for a divorce. According to the report, the source revealed that Dhanush and Aishwaryaa would only file for a divorce when either one of them wants to re-marry. The source can be quoted as saying:
"The buzz that they are trying to reconcile is wrong. They aren’t. When it comes to divorce, they have not filed it yet, so they are separated. There is no filing in the court. They won’t even file for divorce until and unless one of them wants to get married again, which is not the case at the moment."
The source also mentioned that even though Dhanush and Aishwaryaa don't live together, they have mutual respect for one another. As per the reports, the duo are busy co-parenting their sons, Yatra and Linga, so they don't feel any void in their lives. In the same report, the source also mentioned that both Aishwaryaa and Dhanush are focusing on their career, and they are busy with their projects, hence, they don't have time for love in their lives as of now. The source can be quoted as saying:
"They don’t live together, but respect each other and share a cordial bond for their kids. They are busy raising their kids, and finding ways to co-parent. They are taking turns to keep their kids so that they don’t feel a void in their life. They are focusing on career, not personal life. They have moved on in their life, and love is not on their mind currently."

For the unversed, it was on January 18, 2022, when Dhanush and Aishwaryaa had announced their separation. The duo had taken to their respective social media handles and shared a long note. Expressing their feelings in their separation note and asking people to give them privacy to deal with this, they penned:
"18 years of togetherness as friends, couple, as parents and well-wishers to each other. The journey has been of growth, understanding, adjusting and adapting... Today we stand at a place where our paths separate... Aishwaryaa and I have decided to part ways as a couple and take time to understand us as individuals for the better. Please do Respect our decision and give us the needed privacy to deal with this."
