A source close to the actress shared with SpotboyE, "Deepika and Namik shot for their mahurat scene in a Shiv Temple located in Naigaon. Deepika looked very happy, she waited quite a bit before getting a nice break. She did not want to take up anything fluffy for just the heck of it." It is to be mentioned here that the role was earlier offered to Jassi Jaise Koi Nahi fame actress, Mona Singh. Had she not refused the proposal, we would have to wait to watch Deepika on-screen.
On not being a part of the sequel, Mona Singh had earlier told SpotboyE, "Yes, Kavach 2 is coming. And I did get approached for it after all it’s my show. But my months are packed for almost 5-6 months. Hence, I will not be part of it. But I am equally excited to go on air and I will be glued to the TV screen". When she was further asked if her fans will miss her, she had remarked, "I don’t think so, but still if they miss me, I will request them to watch the show with the new star cast and give equal love".
Coming back to Deepika, well, the actress has been on maternity leave all this while, courtesy the arrival of her little munchkin, Soham Goyal. And I don't want to make myself tired by working in a daily soap until mid-next year at least. However, I don't mind doing a bit of work here and there until then. During her pregnancy, Deepika had gained a few kilos, but after the delivery, she was back on track with her fitness regimen. Deepika Singh Goyal weighed herself on July 26, 2017, 2 months after giving birth to Soham, she weighed 72 kgs. With all her hard work, dedication and patience, Deepika reduced to 56 kgs i.e., she lost 16 kgs in 7 months. And ever since, there has been no looking back as she is only getting fitter with each passing day.
In the conversation with The Times of India, Deepika revealed her fitness secrets. She was quoted as saying, "Soham was the master reason for my weight loss. I completely focused on him; he's my work-out master." Deepika believes breastfeeding is the best thing for the weight loss. She had further added, “Breastfeeding is extremely important for your child, your health, and your body. It is natural and it is the best thing for your weight loss. Whosoever feels that breastfeeding is extremely unnecessary or probably will ruin one's figure, it's absolutely untrue.
