If you haven’t marked your calendars for November 14 and 15, 2018, you are living in a bubble. These two dates only ring one reality these days and that’s Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh’s wedding. After months of conjectures and follow-ups, the Ram Leela co-actors and long-time lovebirds are finally getting tied in the holy matrimony. On October 21, 2018, Deepika and Ranveer confirmed their wedding by sharing the invitation on social media which could be read as, “With the blessings of our families, gives us immense joy in sharing that our wedding is set to take place on the 14th and 15th of November, 2018. We thank you for all the love you have showered upon us over the years and seek your blessings as we embark on this incredible journey of love, loyalty, friendship and togetherness. Lots of love, Deepika and Ranveer”.
Whenever a celeb wedding is confirmed in India, reports come floating in about their wedding venue, guest list, food menu, designers, decorators, honeymoon and what not. Deepika and Ranveer’s honeymoon reports started doing the rounds when a source revealed to a media portal that the couple would have a short honeymoon owing to Ranveer’s professional commitments. As per the report, “The couple will head for a brief honeymoon before Ranveer dives into the promotions of Simmba which opens on December 28”.
We don’t know where Deepika and Ranveer would head for their honeymoon but based on a throwback interview, we guess it would be Italy. Yes, 10 years ago, while promoting her second Hindi film, Bachna Ae Haseeno, Deepika had shared in an interview that she would love to go to Italy for her honeymoon. She had said, “Italy was great fun too. It was 10 days of shooting this lovely romantic song in these beautiful locations. I don't think I would have discovered this beautiful place had we not shot this song there and now since we have discovered it, it's a place I would like to go for a holiday or honeymoon”. Well, interestingly DeepVeer are also getting married in Italy, however, no official confirmation has been released yet. A Filmfare report earlier suggested, “Both Ranveer and Deepika were keen on having a destination wedding in Italy and they have finalised Lake Como as their wedding destination. The place is dotted with exquisite villas along the shoreline, which is why both of them decided to wed in this beautiful place”.
We all know that Deepika and Ranveer have kept it all under the wraps to the point that they have also struck a deal with their wedding chef that the food in their wedding would not be prepared anywhere else. In fact, there is another level of secrecy as per other reports, for mobile phones would not be allowed inside their wedding venue.
As per a DNA report earlier, “The couple has apparently asked their guests not to get their cell phones to the wedding so as no photos or videos get leaked before they officially announce it. They have asked guests to not bring their cell phones to the ceremony. Considering the fact that it will be a destination wedding, there will be fewer people and all the arrangements will be in place. While the two, in all likelihood, will share pictures with their fans eventually, they hope this step will help them guard their privacy”.
Well, we are so excited for DeepVeer’s wedding and so is Deepika herself. She told India Today, “I'm excited in the same way as I'm excited about signing my next film. Marriage is something that I've always looked forward to in my life, as would any other girl”.
