Deepika Padukone is one of the most bankable actresses of Bollywood, and with every film, she has only awestruck her fans with her versatility. However, to attain the stardom she enjoys now, Deepika has put in a lot of hard work. In a viral video, Ranveer Singh recounts the ordeal the stunning actress went through to ace her dance moves on the song, Nagada Sang Dhol in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film, Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram – Leela.
A video of Ranveer Singh was shared on a Reddit thread where the actor was seen praising Deepika Padukone’s dedication. The actress wore a lehenga that was approximately 30 kg in weight while dancing on Nagada Sang Dhol. Ranveer revealed that Deepika’s back had a labyrinth of physiotherapy tapes. Elaborating on the same, he stated:
“You have seen Deepika like this performing nagada sang dhol, doing those amazing moves but what you didn’t see was that her back is taped up. It’s like a labyrinth of physiotherapy tapes. She by the third day had no skin on the soles of her feet because she was dancing on a maidan barefoot.”

Ranveer also stated that there was a trail of blood when Deepika finished her take. Heaping praises on her hard work, Ranveer shared:
“It was red with blood. And when she performed, she finish her take you know it was like a semi-circle like that and you’d see a semi-circle trail of blood. You know that is the degree to which she has worked hard.”

Ranveer and Deepika’s love story began on the sets of Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram - Leela. In an interview with Film Companion's Front Row, Ranveer Singh recalled his lip-lock scene with Deepika Padukone during the shooting of the film, Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram - Leela. Revealing how even a flying brick could not disturb their kissing moment, Ranveer shared:
"Ramleela, you just get lost. I remember this one instance where Ram and Leela are (laughs). They are lost in each other in a very passionate lip-lock and literally, everything in Mr Bhansali's film happens for real. There are very less visual effects. We were on this bed in a lip-lock, and literally, in the scene, the lip-lock is disturbed by a brick thrown through the window... it shatters the glass and everything. In the first take, Deepika and I were kissing. The brick has come but these two are still at it. That's when Mr Bhansali knew! Sometimes you get lost."
