Bollywood weddings are not only high on fashion, drinks and star quotient but also high on drama, most of the times. The latest grand wedding that the entire Bollywood was a part of was #SonamKiShaadi. The who’s who of Bollywood attended Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja’s grand reception party in Mumbai on May 8, 2018.
Not only do some of the big names graced the much-talked-about Sikh wedding of Sonam and Anand, but we also saw many famous exes who came under one roof for Sonam’s reception. These popular B-town exes were once madly in love and made headlines when they headed for splitsville. With so many exes at the same party, it was quite an awkward moment for many who accidentally bumped into each other and also for those who intentionally avoided each other.

Kareena and Shahid were once very much in love and there were speculations that the two will get married someday, but unfortunately, they ended up parting ways. Now the exes are happily married to their current partners and are parents too. Kareena came with her hubby, Saif Ali Khan and elder sister, Karisma Kapoor and on the other hand, Shahid came with his pregnant wife Mira Rajput. Shahid and Mira came early and left early, being busy with each other only, though Shahid and Saif greeted each other with a hug, the later even congratulated the to-be-father. But both the ladies didn’t see each other eye to eye the entire evening. Kareena avoided her ex and his missus and partied with her veeres’ to the wee hours. Someone from the party also revealed that the Kapoor sisters were also kidding and telling everyone that they should not roam around too much in the ballroom. Kareena was also heard saying, “Dancing is better than bumping into exes.”

This ex-couple never came in public about their relationship, but there was a constant buzz in the B-town about Vidya and Shahid being in a relationship during the time of their film, Kismat Konnection. Today, both Vidya and Shahid are happy in their marital paradise. Both Vidya and Shahid came along with their respective spouses to attend Sonam and Anand’s happy beginnings and luckily never bumped into each other. We must say that it wasn’t a very good day for Shahid as many of his exes were present at the same party.
Sidharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt recently parted ways and we can totally understand that it must have been super awkward for the exes to be under the same roof with the same set of friends. While Alia made a smashing entry wearing a Sabyasachi lehenga with her Brahmastra co-star, Ranbir (who she is rumoured to be dating), Sidharth came with his buddy, Aditya Roy Kapur, dressed in a black outfit designed by Shantanu and Nikhil. It is a known thing that Sidharth and Alia are no more on talking terms, thus royally ignored each other. Alia was seen enjoying with the girls, including Katrina (who was dating Ranbir once), Kareena and Karisma (Ranbir’s sisters). On the other hand, Sidharth was dancing and chit-chatting with Katrina Kaif. Awkward, right?

Ranbir and Katrina were once madly in love and then one fine day, the two decide to go their separate ways and never revealed the reason behind their break up. Since then, the equation between these ex-lovers has not been amicable as they mostly avoid each other at events, as much as possible. For Sonam and Anand’s reception, Ranbir came with his rumoured love interest, Alia Bhatt and Katrina entered with her sister, Isabel. Though the guests were expecting some drama if they came face to face, but nothing of that sorts happened. Katrina even happily posed with Alia for a few pictures. Ranbir was also seen chilling with his ex, Deepika’s current flame, Ranveer! Such chilled-out people, right?
Before dating Ranbir Kapoor, Katrina was Salman Khan’s lady-love. Today, the two are back as friends and have no awkwardness between them. Both Katrina and Salman have let bygones be bygones and moved on gracefully in life as friends. Salman Khan came along with Jacqueline Fernandez while Katrina made an entry with her sister, Isabel. When Salman entered, Katrina was about to leave the party, but the two shared their share of hugs and kisses.

Even after years of their breakup, their name together still creates headlines. Salman Khan was in a very serious relationship with Aishwarya Rai, but the relationship soon turned sour and Aishwarya accused him of physical violence. Years after their controversial separation, the two are still not fine with each and prefer avoiding each other as often as they can. They have never been cordial with each other and we feel they are going to remain this way one. Aishwarya came with her husband, Abhishek Bachchan and smartly avoided bumping into Salman when he made an entry. Once Salman was on the stage, dancing with fellow actors, it was then only that the Bachchans made an exit.
These two also share an awkward relationship and are not cordial with each other. Abhishek and Karisma were once in love and even got engaged to each other. But no one knows why they broke off the engagement and soon Karisma married her ex-husband Sanjay Kapur. The two were first there under the same roof at Sonam’s Sikh wedding, where they exchanged awkward vibes and intentionally avoided each other. And, the same thing happened at the reception as well, both Karisma and Abhishek gave each other a royal ignore and decided to hangout with their respective set of friends.

While Abhishek avoided bumping into Karisma, he got a little worried when his another ex-flame, Rani Mukerji made an entry, at Sonam’s wedding. Abhishek who attended Sonam’s shaadi with his sister Shweta and father, Amitabh, had an awkward encounter with Rani. While Rani chose to ignore Abhishek, she came up to Big B and greeted him with a warm hug. This left many tongues wagging at the wedding. At the reception party as well, both Abhishek and Rani avoided bumping into each other.
Arjun Kapoor and Arpita Khan were once in a relationship, during their teenage years, when Arjun didn’t even make his debut. It was Arjun’s sister’s wedding and Arpita came along with her hubby, Ayush Sharma. Arpita was invited because she is good friends with Arjun’s sisters. While Arjun made sure that he didn’t come face to face with Arpita or her husband, Arpita was seen chit-chatting and clicking pictures with Arjun’s baby sister, Anshula Kapoor. Awkwardness alert!
