Bhagyashree had become a star overnight with her first film, Maine Pyaar Kiya. She had won a million hearts with the portrayal of a shy girl opposite Salman Khan. But even after the success of the film and her super-stardom overnight, Bhagyashree left Bollywood to have a family.
Yes, the actress decided to leave everything behind because she was in love and wanted to be with the man of her dreams, Himalaya Dassani, forever. She got married to Himalaya Dassani in 1990, and the couple is doting parents to Abhimanyu Dassani and Avantika Dassani.

On November 4, 2022, Bhagyashree took to her IG handle and posted a video of her hubby, Himalaya Dassani from the hospital and revealed that he underwent a major surgery. In the video, we can see Himalaya being taken into the OT and later, was shifted to his room, where he smiled for the video taken by his wifey, Bhagyashree. Along with the video, she penned a note, which can be read as:
“Major surgery of the right shoulder took close to 4.5 hours. Fractures heal, tears have to be sutured, refracted tendons need to be clamped...it is important to go to the right doctor at the right time. We were told that he would be fine in one day.. and we didn't believe it could be possible… but thanks to the medical facilities and post-op care.”

Bhagyashree and Himalaya Dassani’s love story is nothing less than a Bollywood film. She is from Patwardhan, the royal Marathi family of Sangli and her father is the Raja of Sangli. The actress had run away from her castle to be with her man and had tied the knot with businessman, Himalaya Dassani.

In an interview with the Humans of Bombay, Bhagyashree talked about her love story with Himalaya Dassani. Sharing details about how the two fell in love in school, Bhagyashree had stated:
"We went to school together — he was the naughtiest kid in class and I was always the class monitor. We would fight all the time and the rest of the class would have a blast! We were like Yin and Yang — the more we fought, the more it became clear that we couldn’t be apart. We never dated though…he never even told me how he felt until the last day of school. He said, ‘I have to tell you something’ and then for one week he kept trying to say it but would always back out. Finally, I went upto him and said, ‘look, just say it…I’m sure the answer will be positive’ and that’s when he told me he liked me."
