We often cherish the memories of those who have left and are never coming back. Although the pain of losing them never seems to lessen any soon, we do find some comfort in their memories. Being in the knowledge that they're still with us watching over us, even if not in the mortal form, gives some extent of relief to the gut-wrenching pain caused by their physical absence. Legendary actor, Irrfan Khan had breathed his last at merely 53 earlier this year. His son, Babil Khan often shares endearing memories of his baba on his IG handle. On October 30, 2020, Irrfan Khan's son, Babil Khan had shared a beautiful picture with his baba from one of their vacations. In the candid click, the father-son duo had looked away from the camera and it was their uncanny resemblance that had taken the internet by storm. Along with the photo, Babil had written, "2 man squad" in the caption.
On November 9, 2020, Irrfan Khan's son, Babil Khan shared an unseen picture of his parents in each other's warm embrace and penned a heart-melting poem in the caption. His caption can be read as "It's true, time does indeed slow down in the spaces between your breaths. And once you've dreamed of more, how could you settle for less. Perhaps, it was over because you knew. Or perhaps, because I grew. But the sky isn't so blue, when the sun is setting over you."
On October 22, 2020, Babil Khan had shared a beautiful video of his father singing the iconic romantic song, Mera Saaya Saath Hoga for his mother, Sutapa Sikdar. The video was from the sets of Irrfan's last movie, Angrezi Medium and the couple had looked utterly happy in each other's arms as they had given wide smiles for the camera while walking on the road. Along with this video, Babil had written a caption, and it could be read as "Mera saya ki tera saya? Dropping ma off at the airport now." After Irrfan Khan's demise, his wife, Sutapa Sikdar had penned a note for the late actor's fans, which she had shared through the latter's personal Twitter handle. The doting wife had captioned the note as "From Sutapa, Babil and Ayaan." And, a little excerpt from the long eulogy could be read as "How can I write this as a family statement when the whole world is taking it as a personal loss? How can I begin to feel alone when millions are grieving with us at the moment? I want to assure everyone that this is not a loss, it is a gain. It's a gain of the things he taught us, and now we shall finally begin to truly implement it and evolve. Yet I want to try to fill in the things that people don't already know."
A few days ago, Babil Khan had shared another endearing memory with his baba, Irrfan Khan. In the picture, they were seen sitting on the shore, and the doting father was clicking his son. Remembering his father, Babil had penned a soulful note expressing how even his baba's mortal absence doesn't change the fact that he still guides and motivates him. His note could be read as "Switching places by the lake. I love the way you shake my soul still. I took that jump you know, funny it was waiting outside my door still. You said "that's all you have to do." I leapt off a little too late, but I did in memories of you." Babil's mother and Irrfan Khan's wife, Sutapa Sikdar had commented on the post, "And I still have this sweater of your to freeze the moment."
