Not just him, but his entire family, including his brother, Aparshakti Khurrana and their mother, Poonam Khurrana have been bravely battling the hard times. And now, Poonam Khurrana has won hearts for her endeavours to restart her life once again at the age of 73, days after the bereaving loss of her husband.
Holding onto the silver lining of life, Ayushmann Khurrana’s mother, Poonam Khurrana has embarked on a new start in her life at the age of 73. In a video shared by her daughter-in-law, Tahira Kashyap narrated Poonam Khurrana’s apprehensions about starting a new life in a new city, now that she has shifted her base to Mumbai. Moreover, Poonam can be seen reflecting if it has been her destiny to start a new life without the company of her dear husband.
“At 73, what do I choose to see? Is it going to be loneliness? Is that my destiny? Have shifted bases and moved to a new city. In a world without my most loved one can I still breath?”

As soon as the video was shared by Tahira, the comment section of the post was filled with tons of appreciatory comments and applauds for Ayushmann’s mother, Poonam on her brave decision to restart her life. While her son, Aparshakti Khurrana dropped hearts to express his feelings, several other celebrities and fans poured their hearts out. While somebody called her a brave woman, others hailed her as an inspiration for their parents, who too, strive to come out stronger after the demise of their near and dear ones.
The loss of a parent brings unimaginable grief on the part of the child, and Ayushmann Khurrana had bore the same after the demise of his father, P Khurrana. Proof of the same was found when he had shared a glimpse of himself and the rest of their family, as they overlooked their father’s portrait on his prayer meet. However, what made everyone teary-eyed was the heart-wrenching note that he had penned along with it, where he spoke about shouldering his father’s responsibilities in holding the family together and taking care of their mother. He had written:
“Maa ka khayal rakhna hai aur humesha saath rehna hai. Pita jaisa banne ke liye bahut duur jaana padta hai apne pita se. Pehli baar aisa mehsoos ho raha hai ki papa bahut duur aur bahut qareeb hain humare. Thank you for your upbringing, love, sense of humour and the most beautiful memories."

Well, not just Ayushmann, but even his wife, Tahira had penned a special note for her late father-in-law, P Khurrana. Taking to her IG handle, she had shared an adorable family picture of the Khurranas from their happy times and revealed through her caption how she had never met a father-in-law who loved a feminist daughter-in-law like her. She had written:
“I am yet to meet a father-in-law who loved his feminist daughter-in-law.”
