Ayushmann Khurrana has taken up the Bollywood industry by storm with the concepts he’s picking up in his films at the moment. Recently, on February 15, 2020, the 65th Filmfare Awards were held at the beautiful Gandhi Athletic Stadium, Guwahati. And it was Ayushmann Khurrana, who grabbed the Filmfare Award for Critics Best Actor for his intense performance as a cop in Article 15. This is just a small example of the ride he’s having right now in the industry and with his upcoming projects in line, the actor is heading towards greater heights. Well, recently the first-look of Ayushmann Khurrana’s next film, Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan was released in which we saw Ayushmann kissing his co-star, Jitendra Kumar. The scene spread like a wildfire on the internet and everyone was waiting for the reaction of Ayushmann Khurrana’s wife, Tahira Kashyap and the lady has left us all amazed with her answer.
Recently, in an interview with Pinkvilla, Tahira Kashyap opened up about seeing her husband, Ayushmann Khurrana kissing another man on the big screen. She said “I was delighted to see Ayushmann kissing a guy on screen! Honestly, now I view it from the perspective of respecting an artist and his work – so whether he kisses a man or woman, I am seeing the emotion of the character. When he kisses a girl, I can see that the man is in love with her and this is what he needs to do to show love. I would make my characters in my movies do the same. The inspirational woman, Tahira Kashyap then explained her perspective of watching her husband playing different kinds of roles in his movies. She added “Who am I to judge? My perspective of watching him on screen is surely from the perspective of what he as a character should be doing and in Shubh Mangal Zyada Savdhaan this is what he should do because he is in love with the boy. What else do you do when you are in love?”
However, it wasn’t easy for Tahira to see her husband kissing another woman on the big screen during the initial days of his career. In an interview with SpotboyE, Tahira had talked about the time, when she had felt insecure in her relationship. She had shared, "I had a problem with him kissing on screen. I felt like a big, huge fat while sitting at home. When you are pregnant your hormones also go up and down. Here this boy is looking at his youngest youth best and he is romancing women and what is this onscreen kiss! We both were very young. He didn’t have the time and patience to take me along and I didn’t have the patience to understand. There was this disconnect that we were not there for each other to take each other along in that journey. Somewhere he knew that she doesn’t mean mad. I also knew he wasn’t cheating. I had to evolve as a person to understand what art is."
No wonder the level of understanding between Tahira Kashyap and Ayushmann Khurrana is of some another level and a lot of its credit goes to the fact that they’re together since childhood. Yes! You heard it right, Ayushmann and Tahira's love story is a different kind of a fairytale, wherein they had their own share of fights, insecurities, and gloomy days. But despite all of it, their willingness to stay together is the thing that brought both of them this far. The duo had tied the knot in the year 2011 and since then they had created a beautiful paradise of their own with their two little kids, Virajveer and Varushka.
