Since a long time, the rumours were doing the round that Arjun and Mehr were facing some troubles in their marital life and are heading for splitsville. And now putting all such speculations to rest, Arjun Rampal and Mehr Jesia released a joint statement announcing their mutual separation. As per the Bombay Times reports, the statement of their disunion can be read as, “After a 20-year-long beautiful journey filled with love and beautiful memories, we would like to share, that all journeys have different paths. We feel that it is time for us to move on to different destinations henceforth.”
It further stated, “We have always been solid when it has come to us, we will continue to be solid for each other and our loved ones, as we embark upon a new journey...Both of us being extremely private people feel strange to be making this statement, but such are the circumstances of our lives. Where the truth can get distorted and lost. We are a family, our love for each other is forever intact and we shall always be there for one another and most importantly, for our children Mahikaa and Myra. We would therefore appreciate our privacy through this time. Thank all for their support. Relationships can end, but love lives on. For the uninitiated ones, Arjun Rampal and Mehr Jesia tied the nuptial knot in 1998 and they have two lovely daughters, Mahikaa (2002) and Myra (2005). The doting father, Arjun also tattooed the names of his daughters on his arm. Before ending their two decades of marital bliss, Mehr stood by Arjun despite all the rumours about his alleged infidelities had come to the fore. Amongst many speculations of Arjun’s infidelity and that the couple have headed for divorce, the most persistent was the one concerning Sussanne Khan and Arjun. After Hrithik Roshan and Sussanne Khan ended their 14 years of marriage in 2013, Arjun and Mehr’s relationship was put to a test because of an alleged affair between Arjun and Sussanne. However, Sussanne came out in open and rubbished all such conjectures. Even Arjun took to Twitter to quash the rumours of his impending nuptials to Sussanne. As per a Filmfare report in 2017, the couple had been living separately for months, and took a six-month-break to re-evaluate their relationship. The news of their separation is heartbreaking, but Arjun Rampal and Mehr Jesia Rampal said that despite this, the love for their daughters and family will be the same.
