Malaika Arora was formerly married to actor, Arbaaz Khan, but the couple had mutually separated after 19 years of marital bliss. After her divorce, Malaika had started dating actor, Arjun Kapoor.

It has been more than a year since Arjun and Malaika have made their relationship official. Ever since they have accepted their relationship in public, their social media handles are filled with lovely snaps from their lunch/dinner dates, vacations, parties, festivals and many more.
In a candid conversation with the HT Brunch, Arjun Kapoor talked about his girlfriend, Malaika Arora and revealed what he loves the most about her. When asked what he has learnt from Malaika, Arjun said, “I love how dignified Malaika is. The way she has the age of 20, to today, being an independent woman with her own personality, I have seen her trying to change the narrative about things. She has just believed in keeping her head down with dignity and letting her work do the talking and leading a life that allows her to be happy. I learn from her every day!”
Malaika Arora is over ten years older than Arjun Kapoor. In an interview with Pinkvilla, talking about the age difference between her and Arjun, Malaika had stated, "The age difference doesn’t really pop up when you are in a relationship. It is about two minds and hearts connecting. Unfortunately, we live in a society that refuses to progress with time." She had further added, "An older man romancing a younger girl is hailed everywhere, but when the woman is older, she’s called ‘desperate’ and a buddhi (old). For people who think like this, I have just one line: Take a flying f***."

In an interview with The Times of India, Malaika had opened up on her marriage plans with Arjun and made it clear that she plans to expand her business first. She had shared that 2019 was good on the professional and personal front as she was recognised as a businesswoman and as a brand. Malaika had further added that these things (marriage) cannot be predicted. Malaika had further added that they are planning to go one step at a time. They have been honest about where they are standing right now and will talk about it when things move forward.
In an interview with the Filmfare, Arjun Kapoor had candidly spoken about accepting his relationship with Malaika Arora in the media and how his family has been supportive of his choices. Speaking about how happy his family is with his relationship with Malaika, Arjun had stated, “They are happy. That's the reason I have been able to come out. There is genuine happiness for me. I have been through hell. I have been through a roller-coaster... from the age of 10-11 till 33 today. My parents separated when I was around 11 years old. Today I have some stability in my life and if someone gives me happiness, my family won't be against it. I am genuinely happy. That is why a Friday at the box-office doesn't decide my life. Three years back, I had have been like, I am dying! What's gonna happen? Today, I am relaxed.”
