Ever since the untimely demise of Sridevi on February 24, 2018,the Namaste England actor, Arjun Kapoor has proven himself to be a supportive brother to his half-sisters- Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor, and a dutiful son to father, Boney Kapoor. Standing by their side as a pillar of emotional strength, the half-siblings are only growing closer to each other with each passing day. In an interview with Hindustan Times, talking about his sisters, Janhvi and Khushi, Arjun said that all he wants is them to be okay. Sharing his equation with them, Arjun added “It’s something that has been growing and still evolving. I’ve been very honest about it. I’ve not made any pretence saying that we’re a happy family and we’ve sorted everything. So, I don’t care what people think; I just want them [my sisters] to be okay”.

Arjun also revealed that Janhvi and Khushi have allowed him to call them his sisters, “It’s my job to be a good son to my father and the byproduct of that is I’ve managed to find two more sisters; they allow me to call them my sisters and that’s very large-hearted on their part”.

For the ones who do not know, Arjun Kapoor is Boney Kapoor and his first wife, Mona Shourie Kapoor’s son, and on the other hand, Janhvi and Khushi were born to Boney Kapoor and his second wife, late Sridevi. Earlier, Arjun had confessed that his equation with his sisters is ‘non-existent’. He had once said, “We don’t really meet and spend time together so it doesn’t really exist”. But post-Sridevi’s death, Arjun, Janhvi and Khushi have really gotten close to each other. In an interview recently, the 33-year-old actor said, “The good part is that we have our independent lives, but whenever need be, we are there for each other. That’s how it should be. We don’t have to suddenly become a happy pretentious khandaan, which is why I took some time. Now, I’m talking about it as there’s a certain ease and I’ve been able to figure things out. Kabhi kabhi in all the bhaag-daud, you don’t realise how important it is to connect, sit down and have a meal with your loved ones. Somewhere, all of us have been able to get that perspective”.

Arjun has also spoken reverently of Janhvi all this while, and recently told a media portal, “I did get to know her a lot better, off camera also. She's a very sorted girl. She's sensible and funny, and also has quite a few hidden talents that came around in the show; just like how I am, a hidden gem (laughs). I think this was meant to be that we would discover each other. What Karan does is, he allows you to be in a comfortable environment and that kind of let's go your inhibitions that maybe I and she would have taken a couple of more dinners and lunches and maybe a holiday or two. Now, suddenly after spending two hours, I feel like I've known her all my life. I can only be thankful to Karan for choosing this combination”.

Yes, we will be seeing Arjun and Janhvi in one of the episodes of Koffee with Karan season 6. Talking about the same, Arjun revealed, “When Karan Johar told me that this was the combination, I was pleasantly surprised, because I am the buffoon and prankster on Koffee with Karan. I thought that I'll get to spend some time with Janhvi. Honestly, I haven't been able to spend time with her. In February (when Sridevi passed away) I was shooting for Namaste England”.
