Ariana Grande needs no introduction. The gorgeous woman has been winning hearts for almost two decades. While her career has always been inspiring, Ariana's life has always been a public topic of discussion. Over the years, the singer's drastic weight loss has been discussed, and it has continued as she recently released her eighth album, Petal. Amid this, Ariana decided to take a step back from visibility, and the reason is public scrutiny.

Ariana has spoken about the comments she gets on her body and always insisted that she was healthy; however, be it from a concerning factor or shock, her fans continued to keep her body weight as a topic of discussion. While Ari had to grow a thick skin and avoid the chatter, there's no denying that public scrutiny has an effect, and now the singer is choosing to take her time to deal with it and has taken a break.

Charli Howard and Jameela Jamil's comments on Ariana Grande's body and weight loss brought them flak

Amid this, Jameela Jamil and Charli Howard made some comments, which didn't go well with the singer's fans, leading them to slam them on social media. So, what did they say about Ariana's body weight? Let's have a look.

With the release of Ariana Grande's new album, Petal, people have been discussing it, along with the singer's appearance in the album. Charli Howard took to her social media and wrote extensively about the pop star's weight loss. She called it 'not normal' while adding that Ariana needs help, feeling that she's not doing well. Charli called out Ariana's team as well, and mentioned that continuing to work in this state is 'appealing'. She also slammed those who called Ariana's weight loss 'normal', and called out those who continued talking about the singer's body.

Charli's extensive post, which she dropped with Ariana's photos, has since grabbed attention. Some of the social media users thanked her for sharing information about eating disorders and anorexia; others slammed her while questioning her choice to speculate about someone's health and drop a public post. Ariana never confirmed anything about her alleged health battle; rather, she continued to tell her fans and well-wishers about her feelings for people commenting on her body.

Charli's comment, even though it is advocating, doesn't need to be out there on social media, as felt by Ariana's fans. They counter Charli, who herself suffered from weight loss and an eating disorder, asking her if she would like it if someone, on social media, would write like this about her body. In a word, Charli's comments have since sparked a debate, and people have been slamming her for the same, and arguing that her concerns could have led her to a personal message to the singer rather than her turning it into a public post.

Jameela Jamil also dropped a comment and argued about the same. She further called out Ariana's costume team and said, 'This poor woman is possibly dying right in front of us. This outfit is designed to accentuate the thinness for discourse.' While the comment has since been deleted, it did the damage, and people haven't been able to come to terms with what she said, leading her to face flak.

Ariana Grande is taking a break from visibility

Ariana Grande will be away from public sight after she wraps her Eternal Sunshine Tour in September 2026. The singer's reps revealed the news to PEOPLE recently, adding that the singer loved every minute of the tour and decided to step back from visibility. The public scrutiny has been a contributing factor to the singer's recent decision. Her reps said:

"She looks forward to finishing the tour and ending it on a high note, both healthily and happily, and then taking a much-deserved break from public-facing work and appearances, which has led to endless, ongoing public scrutiny."

What are your opinions on Charli and Jameela's comments on Ari's weight loss and health, even when the singer has never confirmed anything about it?
